There's no doubt VZW is losing in the PTT game to SprintPCS

I mean if this is all VZW has got for the PTT system just and update to there crappy first and only PTT phone, Then they might as well drop the system. I mean has 6 phones that utilize the system and all of them are way better than that V60 VZW has brought out and this newer one they going to bring out. None of there PTT phones can even hold a candle to the RL-2000 or RL-4920. I mean Sprin has a ready link phone with a camera, video camera and a color screen. VZW's first attemp a rehased V60 black and grey screen. And in order to get the phone you have to sign up for PTT service. Bad move VZW people liek choices when purchasing a phone. Not rules. All I'am saying is Verizon needs to get tehre **** together if they want there PTT service to be...

Dude Verizon has a few diffrent phones comming out. The samsung a690 there is an LG phone, then a bunch of diffrent Mototola Phones. I agree that they need to make a PTT and camera phone but not everyone wants or needs a camera in a phone. Me personaly i have the LG 7000 and i never use the camera. Im looking forward to this new color PTT motorola phone to come out! 😁

Im with will...Verizon has shot themselfs in the foot on this one. Not only does Verizon have no PTT phones, they never will have the phones to back the system up. Verizon takes so long to have a phone come out that you wont even see half of these phones. Look at the A690. That phone was supposed to come out in september of (03)..COME ON..2003! that phone is outdated already and it hasnt even come out yet. Verizon PTT is not worth the money they ask for it. I would be very surprised if Verizon has more then 2 PTT phones by the end of the year.

Even if when they come out with these phone they are all oudated and none can eve compare to the Sanyo RL4920 or the RL2000. And that will be only what 4-5 phones. By that time Sprint will have out more then 10 phones. Just liek sprint has the edge in the camera phone department over verizon. VZMW has out what 5 phone in like 2 the 2 years the technology has been in existence in the US. Sprint has like 13 going on 20 in a few months. The Fact is both companies work in different ways. Verizon invest most of it's money in network upgrades and such and hardly anything on handsets. Sprint invest alot of money in handsets and services for that network but hardly anything into there network. But people dont see cell stations and coverage in the re...

Get ready to be surprised, then. VZW may have stumbled out of the gate, and Sprint capitalized with a superior product launch...but that doesn't mean that VZW is abandoning PTT. It's too damn alluring and profitable to toss aside. Look for a bunch of phones in the PTT vein soon.

right... the reason verizon is holding off is they know that their current ptt sucks. but they are going to roll out a new version of the VoIP and new software. the samsung fone that was supposed to come out last year was pused back so their customers would not have two crappy fones to choose from. the PTT update will kick ass and should give sprint a run for their money. i think verizon knows damn well that their first release was premature, and at that time they were trying to compete with nextel and the nation wide ptt. verizon was stupid for releasing ptt so soon. but the 2nd time they will not loose...

The PTT relaunch will be nice. No, the moto V65P will most certainly not be the only handset associated with that relaunch. But it too will benefit from better header compression and revised prescence intervals. But you have every right to complain.
