V65 on Sprint

Anyone know if it's possible to use this phone on SprintPCS? It states that it operates on CDMA 1900.

Can the v65p be used on the Verizon network as a regular cell phone?

Can the v65p be used on the Verizon network as a regular cell phone by participating in a "regular" cell phone plan and not one of the PTT plans?

I know some of you might think this is crazy, but is it possible?

Thanks

speakerphone

I am pretty sure that I will be getting the motorola V65p. When I was playing around with one in the store, I noticed when I tried to use speakerphone with the phone shut, it just hung up! I was surprised becuase my friend has the V60, and it can shut and use speakerphone. Is this a setting, or does the phone not have closed speakerphone?

why battery doors?

Why does mororola insist on using batteries separate from the back of the phone. LG's phones are significantly thinner as a result of making the battery simply a part of the phone's body. Can anyone explain this? Does it have to do with battery life?

You MUST ask for the V65P at most Verizon Locations!

When i went to a local Verion store i looked and looked again what the heck even a third time for the v65p! I saw the v60p but no one seems to interested in that phone anymore. So i ask where is your V65p and I was told well we arent putting out yet till we get rid of all of our V60p phones and we have a lot of them left. I guess I dont understand that why not just knock the price down which they did on the v60p and put the v65p out. I was able to toy around with the actual V65p phone for a while and let me tell you i was super impressed and honestly so was everyone else! So Verizon needs to really get this phone out and get rid of the V60p i dont care how they do it they just need to. How does that go "Out with the old in with the NEW!...

Retail Price

I was told today that the retail price of the Motorola V65p is $239.99 for all of you who were wondering. The price may vary with different areas. But that price is for the Midwest area of Verizon (Michigan and such) And lets hope Motorola did enough testing and all to get this phone right!

Analog roaming

I am deciding between getting this phone and the e815. I like this phone and i really dont need the extraneous features on the phone, plus i don't know how big a factor is with analog roaming capability. So my questions is that what exactly is analog roaming and if i live in a city does it matter? Will my phone be affected by traveling to different places in the us?

DEMO/DISPLAY RELEASED BY VERIZON!

I went to a local verizon store today and to exchange out the LG VX6100 I believe it was and my friend put in my hand the V65P DEMO/DISPLAY! This was the non working version. I held alot of demo/display phones in my life but if this one was solid and if this has anything to say about what the V65p is going to be like folks let me tell ya its going to be a hot item. My friend who works for Verizon said when they get the demos/displays like that knowing they already got all the accessories in that its a matter of a couple of weeks before the real deal comes through so be on the look out!

a good idea?

can phone manufacturers sell phones like cars? I mean a basic model with different functions for different consumers. If i want bluetooth, I can get bluetooth built into any phone for more money. If i dont want preset ringtones and want to buy/install my own, they would do it. Any one know if this poor man's vision could ever be possible?

voice dialing

Is it going to be speaker independent? I hate recording names and digit dialing (via voice command) is so convinient. Where could i go for info, motorola doesn't return my emails. Also, any other specs on this phone like battery life, phonebook capacity, etc? I really hope it has a longer battery life than the v60p that looks attrocious.

Location of send/end keys

Call me nuts but why in the world would Motorola swap the position of the send/end keys? If you're like me and have been a loyal Motorola user (StarTac, V60c, V60p, V60s), you have become accustomed to the send key being on the right side. Now they're switching it back!? What gives? I'm sure I'm not the only V60s user out there who is regularly re-keying phone numbers because we're used to a send key on the left. Does Motorola perform usability tests with real-world users? Do they care?

Is there going to be a non-PTT Version?

I am looking into a new phone and I'm wondering if I should bother waiting for this in a non-PTT version (If there is going to be one) or to go ahead and get the V265. 😁
