is there a missed call reminder beep on this phone?

i just got this phone 3 days ago.. no problems whatsoever -except for fingerprints! this is prob an easy question but i noticed last night that a blue bar with a little phone icon and an arrow next to it appeared on the bottom of the main screen. it was right underneath the time/date. i checked my owners manual but i could not find out what this meant. i turned the phone off then on and it disappeared! anyone know what that was?? thnx.

i was just sittin in bed the other night and i was playin with the phone bc i just got it and i'm sure some ppl know this, but for those that don't... if you want to access the music you have on ur phone w/o opening the phone, its just like an ipod... hit one of the side keys to turn on the front display and hold down the play key... that's also how u stop ur music from the outside...

Is there a way to save videos purchased from Vcast onto the card rather than the phone? I tried setting the save options for videos to card memory but that only lets me save videos recorded from the camera to the card. When I try to save a Vcast video it says the memory is full. The phone doesn't have very much internal memory. I would think Verizon would want to be able to sell more videos, ringtones, and applications than will fit in the phone's memory. Also, can the ringtomes be saved to the card?

does anybody here know how to turn the sounds OFF that the phone makes (8600) when you begin and end a video recording session? you can email privately if you prefer thanks

Whats up everybody, please help me...Im getting one of these phones soon, just don't know which one to get. I don't know much about phones. Which one should I get the Krzr or the LG 8600. Any one that much better then the other. Any added benefits of getting one and not the other. Please help!!! Thanks

One of my wife's relatives wanted us to save the greeting on her answering machine and put it on an audio cd. The greeting was of her husband who had passed away. The relative lives in another state.

So, I told my wife that my phone could record conversations. I called the number, recorded the greeting with my 8600, then pulled the file from the phone using BITPIM. The file is a QCP file.

We downloaded a converter from Qualcomm, but it doesn't recognize the file. I've searched a bit and can't find anything else to convert the file to WAV or MP3.

Any suggestions? Seems that the file may be corrupt when pulling it off my phone, but it plays fine in the phone.

Does anyone have any thoughts on whether or not the Razr MAXX is worth waiting for or should I Just go with a sure thing like the LG 8600?

I have no idea when the MAXX is due to hit Verizon but need to get a new phone asap!

purchased the leather case from verizon and it does not fit well at all! anyone else notice this?

I just got my new phone and new 2 gb microSD. I formated it with my phone. I then took it out of the phone and put it in the sd adapter and put it in my computer. I transfered a bunch of mp3's into the folder marked my music. I then put the card back in my phone and got nothing. I can't find the music. It tells me I have so much on the card for space but when I try to play the music or search it out......I get nothing. HELP

I would appreciate any kind of help on this matter. My gf just purchased the nokia 6315i, and the Reps said that transfering mp3 ringtones to her phone is undo-able. So i am trying to find a phone that can do it.

My question is whether or not this phone can recieve mp3 cut ringtones via bluetooth from a computer? Thank you so much in advance.

i am getting a new phone in the next few days a lot of reports go both ways just that the enV has some more options better pic quality and a few other things. but, we all know that when we sign up for theses contracts theses phones turn out bad in a month or two. which do you guys believe is the better buy?

I am seriously considering purchasing this phone, but have found 1 major problem. I have 2 friends with it, and whenever they send me an enhanced txt message (more than 160 characters) I only get the last piece of it, and all the rest is just big X in boxes. If it was one phone I wouldnt bother, but they both have the exact same problem. I have looked around and apparently there are some other users with this problem as well.

They can receive enhanced txt messages without a problem, its just the sending of them that seems to be an issue.

Has anyone else had this problem, and have you been able to fix it?

They are running V02, which according to VZW is the most current version...

Does anyone get an echo when talking on this phone? I have been through two of them already.

I added several Windows Media movies to my card i the my_flix folder, however, my phone does not recognize any of the video files.

The salesperson at the Verizon store stongly implied that Verizon modifies the phone so that only movies made with the phone, or those downloaded from Verizon are recognized. Sounds logical, but I not sure it is true.

Any suggestions?

Just read 'no slider' for the US. BAR Type. Slider going to Europe only. Sucks. Would even pass up the iPhone for the slider. Why do we get all the s**t phones and have the crappy technology. Japan has had 3G and digital TV for about 2 years and is working on 4G. Bummer!

I thought I had my decision made. I am looking to get a new phone QUICK and was really liking the LG 8600. I saw someone with a RAZR the other day and really liked it. I don't know if they had a newer version or not. Is there any newer version for Verizon other than the V3M? If so, what is the difference.

Any opinions on which is better? I like the UI on the LG 8600 better ,but really like Motorola phones and already have the accessories...chargers, etc. for Motorola. HOWEVER, if the 8600 is far and beyond better, please say so! I want to make the right decision.

im going to get a new phone for free on Feb. 4 but i dont no wat u get... the Chocolate or the chocolate filp phone.

I have the 8600. I buy a lot of music from sources such as wal-mart online, napster, ect..my question...

When I put that music on my sd card and then try to play it on my phone, it will not play it. It comes on and says looking for license, and then says error or something. I am suppose to be able to transfer this music that I buy online to things of this nature. Is there something I am doing wrong?

The music I put on there from actual cd's work fine. So I am assuming for some reason I am not going to be able to transfer music I buy online. And this is music I am buying online not a membership deal like rhapsody does, I actually buy it for $1 or whatever.
