LG enV VX-9900

well i just lost my 8100 yesterday 😢 and i called verizon cs today and they offered me the env with a one year contract $109.99 after $50 rebate. i was on a one yr contract before and it ran out in november of 2006 so i was very surprised they offered this kind of the price to me. with a two year contract they would have gave me the phont for $69.99 after $50 rebate.

I have been looking at both of these. I already have verizon, I currently have the VX-8000, but I want a phone with a full key pad and such other similar features that both of the phones have. Which phone would do you guys think is the better buy?

Ive owned this phone since november 26 or whenever black friday was. i was the first to post my first review on what i actually thought of the phone. I loved this 9800 and so far i absolutely love the 9900. I however have one major gripe that i need to get off my chest and i hope a software engineer reads this.

Why can the chocolate play music in the background and the enV cannot. They are more or less the same phone except a few nominal features. I believe whomever started devoping this software needs to be slapped for not allowing that as a feature. FIX IT!!

I hate when you guys use the excuse for everything as, "Verizon is out for money!"

Obviously they are looking to increase revenue in every facet of the business. I just don't understand why you have to come out and act like you are the little guy just trying to skate by. If you were running a company like Verizon you'd be looking to make more money too or you'd be FIRED.

I think I might go buy this phone this week. Can someone just post pictures taken with this phone so I can see that it is (as it should be) better than my 1.3MP VX-8000.

Does anybody know if its possible when you receive i sound through picture message if you have an option to save it as a ringtone or only as a sound?

Is there ANY way to sync tasks and or memo or notes....

I love the easy access to email but really need to get to tasks and notes ????

Anybody having problems with front screen staying on? I have it set for 30 sec and it stays lit up bright for that length, then it dims somewhat but does not shut off. Any advise??? Thanks Bob

Can I sync my 9900 with MS Outlook....mainly my calendar? I don't mind using a cable to do it, just wondering if I can without VZW Wireless Sync.

I've got a 1 gb microSD card for my phone, but for some reason, whenever I turn it off it changes the save settings back to saving to the phone's internal memory, so I have to change it each time I turn the phone on. Is there any way to fix this problem?

I just purchased this phone last Thursday & so far, I like it!

However, I sent myself a voicemail to my work phone using my phone, and for some weird reason, it wasn't all that clear. It kinda sounds like I'm holding my hand over the mic or something. I could barely make out some of the words that I said. Also, other people are sometimes not understanding what I'm saying. Several times in the convo, the person on the other end is constantly saying, "huh?" or "what happened?".

Has anyone experienced this yet? Is there a software for this phone that I may need to use to fix this problem or to update the phone in general?

i just got the enV for christmas and when i turn on the camera (lens closed) there is a white streak that funs from the left side to the top. and in menus where the lower half of the screen is not in use there is a very fine line that runs from the upper left corner to the lower right corner. my question is: should i have this looked at or is this a common problem?

Any idea how I can change the email button to go directly to http://gmail.com instead of Wireless Sync?

Just wanted to know if 1GB is the max this phone can take or is a 2GB card fine. I am thinking of picking up a Sandisk card for use with my enV. Thanks!

I have a SD-to-USB adapter, so that I can plug my SD card into my USB port on my computer. Ofcourse I would like to customize my new phone (background images, ringtons, music...etc) but I did not purchase a data cable. This is my question...

Is there any way I can just plug the SD card into my computer and drag-&-drop these files onto the card, rather than using a data cable and bitpim?

If this is possible, which directories do I need to put information in? Any help here would be greatly appreciated!

How much memory this phone has 😕

This is probably an elementary question, but how do I send pictures to my pc from my phone via BT? when I go to the BT menu I only have the option of sending a name card. Any help will be much appreciated

I am using the latest version of SUPER and everytime I convert a file I always get the error message and when I try the options they suggest I get the same error it seems.

If I wanted to convert an AVI file could someone please tell me the exact options I would need to pick to make this work on my phone.

For example there are 2 options for 3gp (not even sure thats the right video option for the phone).

So could someone please tell me exactly what I need to pick in the latest version of SUPER?

I was wondering how I play an mp3 that I have put on the phone from my computer through mini SD. When I go to 'get it now' I can only access mp3s I have downloaded through that service, the ones I have added dont show up. Thanks. Sorry if this has already been answered.

Okay people.... I am having an issue with this phone. I will be having a convo through texts with a friend and sending back and forth fine and all. You know, receive the text, hit OK for REPLY and such. And it goes good. But every now and then I will send my reply and get a message back saying that I can pay 25cents to have my text message sent to the landline I am attempting to text... The number it lists is always "7100000000" (my area code is 716 so it has the first two numbers right)...

So I am wondering, is this a problem with my phone or is it just an issue with verizon's servers? Is anyone else encountering this?
