HTC 8125 / 8100 / MDA (USA) / K-JAM / P4300 (Wizard)

I am strongly considering using this device as my introduction into pda/phones. I know it has been suggested that it isn't a good phone for those who aren't familiar with the OS, however one way or another I am going to have to introduce myself to it. I am mostly interested in a device that can condense the contents of my briefcase:

Calendar
Camera
Phone
Organizer (extensive task lists and memos)
Address Book

and most importantly I need an OS that supports SPB finance which will sync with my Microsoft Money Budget which is about 90% of my business.

I have absolutely no intention of activating any data transfer, internet, email, or messaging systems as I have absolutely no use for them and especially so with the costs of monthly ...

Does anyone know how toviewa webcam on the 8125?

After some time online with tech support I finally got my Gmail account set up on my 8125. But then they said it won't work because I have MediaNet unlimited and I need a PDA plan. I know there has been some talk about this here, is this really true, is there a work-around? If this is true I'm going to strangle the guy at the cingular store that sold me the plan 👿

I seem to be having connection issues with the internet. Occasionally it will just sit there saying "Connecting" when i'm trying to load a page. Sometimes it will be opening a page and just saying "Loading". It worked fine for probly 4 or 5 days and now its started doing this. Ive tried leaving the phone powered off for a while, ive tried hard shocking it (which sometimes helps), and ive tried going over my connection settings with Tech support and nothing seems to be helping. Is there something else i should do? Get rid of IE and try another browser? Any suggestions? I could really use the help. Thanks

anyone know how i can get my regular phone contact list assigned back to the contacts softkey instead of the goodlink contact list???

For some reason, I copied all my contacts from my SIM to my phone memory when I got this phone, then deleted everything on the SIM. Now, after having to hard reset a few times, I realize how stupid that was, and I can't figure out how to copy them back to the SIM.

Anybody know how to do this?

And yes, I know about SPB Backup, but that program has been causing havoc when I do a full restore. It seems okay when I just restore organizer data (including contacts), but I don't want to depend on it.

Does anyone know if Word Perfect and Adobe can be installed/used on this device?

i have my gmail account setup but when i recieve an email, sometimes i cant view it and other times after i have viewed the email, it deletes it or just hides it. Does anyone know how to keep emails that you recieve until you want to delete them? and does anyone know what i am doing wrong that would make it so it shows that i have a new email message, but when i click "view" it just goes to the messaging section on the phone and when i click on gmail it has nothing there... i have to then go to the gmail site to review the message

I was wondering if anyone had any advice/experience with ordering through Amazon. My boyfriend and I are interested in getting a family share plan. I'm going to get the MDA and he's going to get the Motorola Pebl.

We plan on getting the family share plan with 700 minitues for $60 plus unlimited text messaging for the family share plan for an additional $20 per month. I am also planning on getting the unlimited internet access for $30. So our total expected monthly cost would be $110 plus tax.

Purchasing the phones through a t-mobile store, the MDA would cost about $200 after rebates and the Pebl would cost about $150 after rebates. We could probably get them to take another $50 off for a total of $300 to buy the ...

Hello,

When I try to access a website which has a video on it, such as google video or youtube.com, i get an error message which prevents me from viewing the video. The exact error message reads as follows: Script Alert ActiveX downloading please refresh. I have refreshed many times but still not able to solve the problem. I also downloaded the up to date flash player for pocket pc's (from adobe.com) but still no luck. Any suggestions guys?

does this 8125 have the holster with the device in the holster that automatically turns off the handset when you holster it? The 7100 series blackberry has that feature which is nice. thanks much Bob L.

Over the last 6 months, I've replaced FOUR SIM Cards in my 8125, as the phone suddenly stops getting a satellite signal -- it just keeps searching and searching...(and when I put my husband's card in, the signal returns with full bars). Everytime I call Cingular, they tell me to go to my local Cingular store and get a new card. This last time, the nice Cingular store clerk told me I was burning up the cards and it would just keep happening, so she called Cingular for me and got them to send me a new phone. Is anyone else having problems with burning up their SIMS? I'm wondering if I just got a bad phone or if it's the software I'm downloading?

i just got the cingular 8125 about a week ago and i just got my 2gb mini sd card i tryed putting the card in the phone frist and the phone did not detech it then i put in in to my computer and it said that i needed to format it so i tryed it in fat32 but it wouldnt let me so i formatted in fat and the phone still does not find it any ideas or has anyone else had this problem before please help

Can someone please set me straight on this. I tried reading through what documentation was on Cingular's website.

I'm on a budget but really want to receive my work Outlook email on my pda (thinking about getting 8125). In order to accomplish this with Xpress mail do I HAVE to have my actual computer turned on and running back at work? It also says it can be a co-workers so by that I'm assuming it can be any computer turned at work. But is that the case? If say I use another computer in the office, will the next time I fire up Outlook on my laptop reflect the things done via PDA in the meantime?

How quick is the processor? is this phone worth buying or should i wait until the upgraded Treo comes out? i have the treo 650 but the processor is too slow. the speed of the BB8700 is FASTER but that phone doesn't have enough features. I play fantasy football alot and i need to get online quickly. will this phone do the trick or should i wait for an upgraded model?? please help. I need a phone soon. the season is about to start.

I need major help on this decision. I've mainly worked at Sprint and only hold knowledge on sprints services and phones. I have the LG 550/FUSIC right now. (Video, 1.3 Camera, Bluetooth, EVDO, Mp3 player, fm transmitter) Even the reviews on this phone is more than the reviews on the MDA. BUT..... i'm going back to college this semester, and i've been kind of feeling the Windows Mobile feature on phones. The POCKET PC with sprint is too big. Thats why i started to adore the MDA, for the fact that its smaller and its just attracts my attention more for some reason. But whats killing me with this decision is the differences between these two services. At sprint I'm paying only $15 for the internet, at tmobile, it's $30. Is it worth leaving spri...

I just received my MDA (so far so great) and I had an older version of Voice Command (1.01) that I had installed before I found out I could upgrade to the new version (1.50). So I removed the old version off the phone and my PC and reinstalled the new version. But when loading the new version to the phone I get an error saying must remove the old version first. But when I go into Remove Programs, Voice Command is not listed.

Any suggestions?

ok i just got this phone like maybe a month ago and i love it (i have the tmobile one) but anyways my question is is that i have only two songs on my phone in the windows media player... i know i need a bigger memory card but that should not have anything to do with this question .... lol... ok i had a song on it earlier and i went to file explorer held down on the file and set it as a ringtone... ok.... it worked but the problem is is that i have completly deleted the file from my phone and it is still set as my ringtone... and it only lets me add one more song for my rintone... can someone please tell me how to delete it???? thanks alot/. 😎 😁

Is there any way to find out when T-Mobile has a ROM update for this phone to fix some of the bugs? I talked to tech support the other day and they said if you type in "MDA update" or "upgrade" in the search bar on the TMo website, you can find an update if one is available.

I have seen updates on other websites, but I would only want an official one from T-Mobile. Is this something I can be notified about, or do I have to keep bugging T-Mobile to see if one is available?
