Retreiving pictures

I'm desperate here.

I have an old de-activated 8300.

On it I have an album of pics of my 2 yr old son when he was first born, and a picture of his late mom set as her ringer pic.

I still have the usb cable for the phone but no software.

Can anyone help/suggest how I can get the album pics and the ringer pic off this old phone so I can forever save them to disc.

These are the only pics shot at the hospital during his birth, and the best (my favorite) pic of his mom when we found out she was expecting.

Thank you everyone for any help you can give me with this.

"No Power" on screen -- but phone is on!

Turned on my phone this morning and there's a yellow rectangle in the upper left corner of the screen inside the clamshell with the words "No Power" inside! Funny thing is, the phone is turned on, screen saver works after 30 seconds, camera turns on, etc., but when I try to call/text/take photo, a prompt screen informs me that I need to turn the phone on!

Called Sprint -- they have no record of this phone ever doing this. I took out the battery for 10 minutes, still says No Power in upper left screen.

Ideas? Has anyone ever heard of this happening?

Sanyo MM 8300

Ok I've had this phone for a few months, haven't had any problems with it thus far. last night, i had just sent a text message, set the phone on the counter and thirty seconds later come back to check it, only to realize that it had shut itself off. thinking this was a little strange, i tried turning it back on with the power button, to no avail. i've tried everything... taking the battery out, plugging it in with 2 types of chargers, holding the power button for a minute, but nothing has worked. what should i do!?!?!?!? it hasn't gotten wet, and i haven't dropped it recently.

Creating your own True Tones

Hey people, have been trying for days now to convert my mp3's into true tones for my sanyo mm-8300. All i know is that the it stores bin files as the true tones, has anyone found a way to do this is there even a way to do so instead of paying rediculous prices from service providers? Im using the USB data cable and bitpim software to communicate with my phone via my PC

Cheers, Luke

Handset Freezing

Has anyone had this happen? If I attempt to go into my contact list, the phone freezes. I have to take the battery out and put it back just to get the phone to turn on again. This also happens when using the when using Text Messages. I can receive, read, but not reply because the phone freezes. I also see this when using the Camera.

I have taken the phone to Sprint and they were unable to fix, as they don't know what the problem is. I was just curious if anyone else has seen this.

Thanks!

Camera/Camcorder

I try to open it up and it says camera operating but it never lets me take a picture or video. If I push the camera button a second time it makes the phone start up as if it were off. Any suggestions or has this happened to anyone else?
Thanks

Speakerphone

Is the speakerphone on the 8300 full duplex or half duplex?
In PTT mode it is half duplex but I am more intrested in the phone mode using the speakerphone because of a hearing prolem... Also wouldn't it be nice if there were ear buds or something simalar for people with hearing aids

Again, no bluetooth

Sprint is stupid to continue releasing phones without bluetooth. That's why I left for Cingular.

Is it possible to turn the ringer off without confirming sounds?

I tried out another Sanyo model once and it had a feature that I found very irritating.
There was no way I could turn the phone off without hearing loud confirmation ringer, which basically defies the purpose of silencing it. Imagine, if you discover that your ringer is still on in the middle of a show/meeting. There was no way I could turn it off without drawing everyone's attention (and not only attention -- dirty looks were usually included).
Does this phone have the same problem, or is it possible to turn it off without an embarassment?
Thank you.

Does it have mp3 player? Can you put mp3 player?

Hi-

I am considering buying this phone. I am wondering if it has a built in mp3 player.

Do you know if it's possible to put an mp3 player instead of games on this phone? Did anyone try this?

Thank you.

Make your Sanyo phone more sexy and user friendly!

I purchased a set of Mobile Action Manager (Handset Manager software with cable in one package) from CompUSA new york store. It turns my phone more user friendly and also I can edit or upload all kinds of ringtones and pictures... with the price of US$ 39.99, I think it's a very awesome deal!If you have a Sanyo phone, you really should not miss this excellent product! 🙂
