restriction code

This phone occasionally says "Enter restriction code" and will not ring or have use of any other functions unless I turn it off and turn it back on again. I do not know the restriction code is and there is nothing about it in the book. Does anyone know what this means or what should be done about it?

Helpp!

So. I'm saving up bunches of money and i really don't care how much this phone cost but i REALLY want it. I have a service threw cincinnati bell and they currently don't carry it and i don't think they ever have. does anybody know where i can get this phone? like pre order it from a store or a bulk store? I live in cincinnati ohio so some where close would be nice. and I would like a physical store, not online only.

Has anyone tried this phone with T-mobile?

I'm very excited 🤤 about this phone, the 6822 or even the 6820 but I have T-mobile USA. What I want to know is has anyone tried an unlocked 6820 or 22 with t-mobile? If so, does the browser work with t-zones? does txt msgs and pix msgs work? And will I be able to download wallpaper and ring tones?
Thanks,

-Nick

PS. I currently have the Samsung SGH-P735,
If anyone out there has used both of these phones maybe you could tell me if it would be a trade-'UP' to the 6822...

6822 Rogers -> Cingular SMS and EMail

I purchased a 6682b from a former Rogers user. For email (Messages screen) all I see is "Text, MMS, Blackberry, Voice and Info" message- no "email" like it says in the manual (pg. 41). I'm wondering how to get this flashed back to the factory default or something that will work for the USA (Cingular). Or, does anyone know if the BB client on this device will work for Cingular?

On the SMS, one thing I find odd is that when you do a "reply" I'm forced to chose "blank screen, Original text, template, etc". So I start with "blank screen", compose my reply and then hit "send- it confirms the send to number and then I hit "ok." After that, it brings me right back to my reply!
I have to hit "options-exit editor" to get out of it and then it say...

should I buy it now?

I'm in Argentina an saw it on Ebay for U$S150.00, used.
Is it worth it? I think so, it's unique and has great features, it's like a collectible... so what would you do?

pop3 configure

i'm trying to configure pop3 on my nokia 6822 with cingular service. in particular, i am trying to set up pop3 for a gmail email account.

i had the nokia website send the phone the basic and advanced settings for mMode POP3 configuration.

However, the SMTP fields are gray and inactive, saying "no data" when i try to put in the settings.

has anyone had success configuring pop3 for gmail on the 6822? Please advise,

thanks

Nokia 6822 and RIM Blackberry Push Email

I know this phone has bluetooth, and the availability with email...but if you get email with it, i mean, add it on to your plan, is it the blackberry push email.

is the phone set up to receive push email through blackberry...or do I still have to look up my email through the net on it?

When and where?

I was looking into getting the Nokia 6820 for Cingular service but this phone looks even better because of the improved display. Any ideas when this phone will be released and where it will be released? It says on the Nokia website that it is available in an 850mhz model. Is this also true? I would love to get my hands on one of these for Cingular!

No 850 version?

I thought this thing was going to have an 850 MHz version. I'm kinda disappointed now. 😕

Why ignore us CDMA text nuts...

Just because we enjoy a service with faster data features and better coverage (verizon) doesnt mean we dont need an easy to use text phone. 😡 And why dont other phone makers come out with non-smart phone QWERTY keyboard phones like LG and Motorola that make GOOD quality CDMA phones.

A trend here?

Has anyone besides me noticed sort of a trend with Nokia re-releasing a few phones with "improved displays", etc. The start was with the 6230, now this. Maybe Nokia is finally catching up with some quality displays here...

Blackberry Push Email?

So, does that mean this device works like a Blackberry does as far as email? If it does there really isn't a point in getting a blackberry anymore...
