Ringtone Problem

After a week of trial and error I have finally found drivers for my USB cable. I am using BITPIM and am trying to install some new ringers. I chopped some mp3's down to 30 seconds and am trying to load them on my phone (they are about 500k in size each). Every time I go to Settings/Sounds and try to go to the download tab my phone automatically turns off. For a split second I can see my ringers on the screen then the phone shuts down every time.

What is going on and how can I get around this?

Vibrate Mode

Despite reading my manual and intuitively attempting to find how to get this phone to vibrate, I cannot. Nothing in the manual tells me how and the ring selections in the phone do not offer vibrate. Does anyone know how to select the vibrate mode?
thanks,
Norm

Ringer Died! What to do?

Everything else seems to work. I can dial out w/o a problem, but there's no ringing when calls come in.

LG PM-225 Got wet

I spilled some water on my phone and now it is stuck in Car-Kit mode. I can make and receive calls, yet I can't hear people when they talk and the alarm is also inaudible. I can hear the tone when I power the phone on but that is it. Anybody know how to fix this? I took it to the Sprint repair center, but they said it was toast and needed to be replaced.

Text problem

I looked through the manual and couldn't find an answer. Currently when i text, it is always in all-caps. I've went to the menu and chosen 'Abc' to take it back into first letter caps, rest of them lower case, but it sticks at ABC instead. How can i fix this? Thanks.

caller id on PM-225

My caller ID only shows the incoming number on the outside screen, even if that number is in my phonebook. Does anyone know how to put the name on the outside screen? Thanks, TLM

USB Drivers for LG 225

I have Smith Micro software (Quicklink Mobile Phonebook) that came with my Verizon LG 6100. The cable is correct, and the software can identify my LG PM225, but not communicate with it. Please respond to this thread if you know where I can get a USB driver for the LG PM225... and any tips on loading the driver into the Quicklink software would be great too!
thanx... jon

Alert Notification/Volume

I just purchased this phone and was going through putting all the settings the way I like them when I discovered a small problem. I like to set my voicemail and messaging notification to vibrate. I don't like the beeps or sounds, I just want the phone to vibrate. I've had that on every phone I've had in the past. This phone has that option, but I have it selected and it still beeps everytime I get a voicemail or text message. Does anyone have any ideas?

Instant message options

What's happenin! Hey, I got a few question. Does the phone offer any AIM, yahoo or MSN instant messengers? I take it that the phone does not support mp3 ringtones? Can you set your pictures as wallpaper for the internal and external displays? What demo games does it have? I'm considering the SAmsung e315 also. Do they compare at all?

thanks a lot,
Jason

Tough Phone

Within 2 weeks of getting this phone for my daughter, it went thru the wash in her jeans. I assumed it was toast and so went on ebay and got her a Sanyo 4900. After it dried out, my other daughter said "maybe it just needs to be charged". We charged it up and it works fine. Unbelievable. 😁 😁 😁

Also, the helpful Sprint users manual neglects to tell you how to use the phone's built in voice dial. To use it, press "talk" until the screen comes up telling you to say the name.

I am a huge fan of LG phones, but why are their phones they make for Sprint so boring?

Looking forward to this phone...

internal antenna?
speakerphone?
camera?
external color display?
sleek, small design?

What more can you ask for, at what will probably be a reasonable competitive price.

Only reservation i have right now is keeping ths same the poor LCD screen on the inside, (based on seeing hte vi-125), and an weird key layout that my be uncomfortable for text messaging.

Im curious to see how much this phone will run, it seems like a nice phone with a lot of features.
