Store Reps = worthless

So i called 2 stores today asking the same question:

"Can you give me information on the Samsung n330?"

Store 1- We dont know anything about that phone until it comes out.
Me- So you are telling me you know nothing about a phone that is supposed to come out in 3 days?
Store 1- No sir.

Store 2- We dont carry that phone.
Me- I know it is supposed to come out in 3 days.
Store 2- I just asked the other people and they've never heard of it.
Me- *click

So are the reps at the store just full of $hit and not allowed to say? I hope they really arent that dumb and know nothing about this phone. 🙄

I hate the corporate stores.

Looks Like Samsung Is Finally Learning

This phone appears to be a replacement for the a650. As such, it shows that Samsung is FINALLY learning. There's an external display (actually, the main display, just partially hidden when popped down- but who CARES, it functions as an external display)... and... glory be... what is that on an entry-level Samsung... a... a... SPEAKERPHONE!!!!

*faints*

*wakes up*

Dear god... has Samsung actually been listening to its customers? This one seems to get nearly everything right. Only minor quibbles left is lack of trimode, and the fact that I wished it were a flip. Still... WAY better than the 650. 😉

No analog mode for N330?

I've been eagerly anticipating this phone for a while, but noticed that it's only digital (no analog mode - if I'm reading the specs right). Should I be concerned about that? I'm in big cities most of the time, but am wondering if it's smart to have the option for analog for when I'm in the middle of nowhere.

Don't expect it out anytime soon...

Unfortunately this phone isn't coming out anytime soon. CNET confirmed this yesterday (http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-3504_7-5754908. html) that the release date has been pushed back again. Who knows if it's ever going to make it to Verizon--proably not.

Ok - we have a price!

Good morning all.

Finally the long awaited release looks to be soon. I will admit, I called VZW out of curiosity, (based on previous threads) and I was told that the "possible" release date may be April 21, 2005. I replied, "if it is possible, what would the possible price be?" I was told "149.99 - 1 year contract, and 89.99 - 2 year contract." I believe there is a 50.00 rebate as well. Obviously, they can only speculate and the CS rep gave me all kinds of disclaimers.

To me, this means the release will be sometime next week, or early May. They have a price on this phone, which means that is has been approved and it just needs to be marketed and shipped to VZW stores.

Get on the bandwagon kids - it is here!

Release Date - Updated

Good evening all -

I'm not sure what this means, but take it as you will. I called VZW tonight, and asked what new phones were coming out this week. (I was told that CS Reps are aware of new products 4 days in advance)Tonight, I was told that their price lists are good through May 8, 2005. I dont know if that means, no new products until May 8, or that they may introduce new products and update their price lists as needed.

I guess I am just giving information from one frustrated VZW client to another. Good luck.

Possible Release Date?

Ok, here's my take on this phone's release date. Based on the release of the Kyocera KX440/444, this month, I am taking an educated guess that the relase on the N330 will be in December 2005. Here's my thought. The KX440 was approved by the FCC in Jan 2004. That is 14 months!! The N330 was FCC approved in AUG 2004. Using the same fomula - we should see it in December. That sucks. Boy I hope I am wrong.

This phone is pretty cool!

This is an ENTRY-LEVEL phone!!! Let's just compare this VZ Samsung and ANY VZ bar phone. Nokia? Give me a break! Kyocera?.. This phone is actually going to attract ppl attention! Don't compare it to "the matrix phone" until you grab this Samsung and play with it. It feels very nice!

The phone is not too small, yet not big either. Keypad layout is the standard for all most of the Samsungs. In order to open it, you have to press both the side buttons (top gray one on the picture, on both sides); so far I don't see a situation where this phone can open in your pocket or purse.

This is a perfect phone for a teen that wants a COOL phone. NICE speakerphone is a pretty good addition to the list of feats.

Looks Like Verizon

Samsung.com has a picture of the n330 with verizon branding. normally, samsung.com doesnt even post the phone pictures until they have been released and sold by carriers... hmmm... foreshadowing anything?

Anyone think this is a horrible design?

😈

This looks like the slider dipped in white chocolate, with a boxy look. Im sorry but I think this is a step backward. WTF?

I was starting to get impressed with our new handset offerings, but this is just bad news.

Now if they were to offer a black version like their matrix phone, it might look halfway decent. But white, uugh 😡

I assume this isn't coming out?

I really like the style of this phone and wish it would come out for Verizon. But I assume it's not? 😢

P910a/ Cingular (AT&T Wireless)?

Rich or any Cingular/AT&T reps,

I noticed it said it should be shipping late October. Any update on that? Do you know what this price is going to be?

Hey Rich...

I asked a T-Mobile territory rep about the P735 and he said "as far as I know we're not going to carry it". This has me kinda worried. I noticed in the pics the phone does say T-Mobile on it and the WAP button has the t-zones logo on it. Is it still scheduled for release with T-Mobile? The release is supposedly before the end of the year. Do you have a more specific date? A month?
