LG VX-8000

The VX8000 is showing as "Out of Stock" on the Verizon Website (Tampa Bay Area). Is this just on back-order? or being discontinued, in favor of VX8100?

I downloaded bitpim, the usb drivers, and I have the usb cable. Everyone is saying you have to click on the "dload" tree but there is no dload on my bitpim. I have version 0.7.34. I need someone who can give me directions on how to use bitpim and get mp3's on my phone. I also plugged my phone into the usb port and clicked on detect phone and it says no phone detected/recognized. Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know theres a way just not sure how to do it. I'd appreciate any help

I am currently with Cingular... formerly AT&T Wireless and I HAVE to get a new cell phone (as told by Cingular reps for reasons which would lead to a LONG story) cause my current phone isn't compatible with Cingular's network.

I have the LG 8000 for a week now and love it, on complaint "Very Big" Thinking of changing to the E815, any thoughts???

Has anyone every got the fax to work? I tried; when I send a fax to my phone, it does blink that the incoming call is from a fax. However, the call never picks up...it just keeps ringing. I have an older software version and have not tried updating the software yet. I'm too scared 🤭

I have QPST & DataPilot that I use to back up my contacts, images, videos, and ringtones. Does anyone know how I can backup the Notes in Notepad? I keep a lot of useful information in Notepad and I don't want to enter it in again.

I was able to add them with QPST and they work great but how do you remove them once you want to add other songs?

when im on the internet does it use minutes, and if so is it unlimited after 9:00?

i am picking up a solid EV-DO signal in MI. before i was getting a test signal for about 5 seconds, but now its solid. anybody have any information or is also getting a solid signal?

Is there anyway or anything I can do with the plastic that covers the internal screen, every once in a while the plastic sticks to the screen and causes smudges. The case is just to tight around the screen.

The Other Day While Doing The Monthly Ritual Of *228 my phone just shut off in the middle of the downloading prl process when my phone restarted it said FTM Mode and there were no Icons at all across the top of the screen
Used my best friends phone to dial ^611 and hopefully get help getting phone working again (My First Mistake) as usual a guy with a snotty attitude came on and told me to dial *228 again to finish the process yeah ok sure thing when there no signal icon even visible as I tried to explain this to him he told me to shut off the phone and restart the phone back to factory default settings Ok to humor him i was like fine hmmm new message appears good job now were getting "Service Required"

I currently have the 6100 and just got the 8000. I dont think it has the function that allows it to vibrate and ring at the same time? Can I just not find it or am I right?

I realize nobody posts on the 8000 much anymore, but i bought a data cable and with it came a DVD full of games and MP3s and wallpapers. I used bitpim to do the wallpapers just fine, but i cannot find any support for the games.

Does anyone know how to put games on this thing?!? i tried the HEX editor XVI32 and tried the GIN demo thing to no avail either.

I looked on here and HOFO but no one has posted anything...

i want to upload videos, following the instructions on the link on the bottom of the page. it says to use the nokia video converter. to use it you must have windows 2000/XP and im on 98. does anybody have any other ideas, or does the nokia converter work anyway?
