someone i know needs a usb data cable and the software (if any) to transfer pictures and stuff from their lg vx8000 phone to their pc. where can they buy it? i haven't seen these things in stores like best buy or compusa.

I'm REAL disappointed. Bought the 8000 specifically for it's size and LG's capability to have "large" fonts. BUT....

I seemed to discover that the font setting applies ONLY to the entered keypad numbers! The font (and Icons) for all other displays (incoming calls, text, etc.) are WAY TO SMALL!!!! (For my ole eyes--esp. in the car.) BIG screen--pueny little icons, etc.) Smaller than my good ole 4400. AAARRRGGGHHH!

Anyone know how or IF can make ALL the fonts and icons "large"

Seeing the interest level in custom ringtones here, I thought I'd share my technique with everybody. I'm a Verizon customer, if that matters. If I'm repeating info from elsewhere then sorry.

I'm into trance/techno and rap/hip-hop music so I like to get ringtone loops from favorite tracks on my CDs. What I do is:

(1) Rip the CD track as a .wav file on my PC.
(2) Use WavePad to edit the .wav file to get the loop/ringtone I want.
(3) Use WavePad to save the .wav ringtone as an MP3 file.
(4) Use the site www.funformobile.com to upload the MP3 to my phone. You have to register to use this site, but once you do you can have them send you a PIX message with any of your MP3 files up to 2M. (Other file formats are supported as well.) The int...

I purchased the data cable from ebay, it said it was coming with the usb driver cd, but it didn't. Does anyone know if I can download the drivers from somewhere?

Can the data cable do all of this? Does it allow you to add ringtones and take off pictures? Or is this not a feature? Then what does the data cable do? How do you get ringtones on the phone and pictures and videos off? IF you can is there a program that works to do it. Thanks a lot for any help. I know on the Motorola v710 if you hack it you can get those features. I am thinking about going wiht it if there is no way to get ringtones on this phone. Thanks a lot.

I just got the VX8000 and I am wanting to add ringtones, tunes, and movies to my phone. I know I need a data cable to do this but I ran across this auction on Ebay. It comes with auction mobile software with a bunch of features like mp3 clipper, video composer, and also has a data cable. Does anyone know if the software puts the tunes, ring tones, and ext. in the right places in the phone? For example; ringtones go in the ringtones section and not where the tunes are suposed to be.

Does anyone know if you have to plug in each person name and label separately to use the voice commands when you're driving, for example, Dan Cell, Dan Home, Dan Work, like I have to do on my 6100, or whether you can say call Dan and then respond which label- home, work, or cell?

I'm considering buying this over the 8100 and buying the bluetooth adaptor, because the volume on the 8100 seems low and fades in and out with the one I've tried that was the demo.

Hi - sorry to be posting this in two places on the Forum but I'm hoping somebody can help. I would like to delete one of the ringtones I've uploaded to my LG VX8000 but can't find a menu item for doing that.

Today i was in best buy and i noticed that when the VX 7000 recieved a phone call the flash on the outside cover would change colors. Does any one know if the VX 8000 does this and if it does how do you do it? thanks

i currently have the 8100 but the earpiece IMO isn't nearly as loud as my 7000,can anybody tell me if the earpiece volume is loud on the 8000,if not i'll have to stick with my 7000!!!my 7000 you have to pull away from my ear and can still hear,the 8100 you have to press against you ear again all in my opinion,

I went and got the 8000 on july 2, so i have til the 16th to decide if im keeping it. what i have noticed are some dropped calls, a VERY tinny sounding earpiece, and 'memory full' warning after 22/100 FLIX and maybe 35 PIX.

I go to the GIN subscreen and check the contents memory and it says 4.34/46.13MB - what gives? 9% memory full and i get a warning.

I looked for posts on here and have found similar complaints, but little advise. Anyone have some insight for me?

has anybody came up with any ways to use the speakerphone with the phone shut? i already know about the headset piece, but is there anything new out there?

I just got my VX8000 and noticed that when I just barely move the camera when I'm trying to take a picture, it is very blurry or "laggy." Its like the shutter is very slow. Does anyone know how to fix this? I notice that it doesn't do that in video mode, just when taking a picture.

I've had the VXX8000 about three weeks now The key pad volume does not work and can't log on to get now has error message and headset has lots of static will Verizon let me exchange the phone..... thanks for any help

How happy are you with the phone? I am up for NE2 July 2nd and want an 8100, but it may never come out, so i will most likely get the 8000 since VZW reduced it to $99.99. Just would like to hear from ppl who use this phone, as i personally know no one ;) THANX!
