I got my MPx300 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could'nt wait!! I got the European version.
Basically it's the same as the future US version except the 850mhz frequency that the US will have.

I really love it !!!! If you have a chance to see one even try one go for it !!!

This SmartPhone is wicked!!
The Wi-Fi is incredible, i connected my phone to my wireless network at home so i can surf the net on it without being charge !!!

There's many features that i didn't had the chance to try yet ... there's too many !! 😛

I hope for you guys that the US version will be out soon !!!

Anything new?

This still dissappoints me. I realize it's been a couple of years, but this phone had alot of promise.

Moto hasn't really come out with anything spectacular in a long time. Yes, they have the new iPod phone, but I've heard that it has the same operating system as the v400, the RAZR, the v551, and every other phone they make. Have they really come out with anything great, besides the mpx 220?

I still have the MPX 220, and love it. There's absolutely nothing new out there that I would like any better, mainly because I like the flip phone. That's exactly why I was excited about this one.

Any new news out there? I'm probably talking to myself, because everyone else has given up on this one, too. 😕

New Info

I actually talked to a Cingular rep today...the assistant manager of a store in Dallas, Tx...and he said they should be getting this phone in next month, but he did seem a little unsure of himself. Who knows? Anyway, I wouldn't count on it. I have had problems with Cingular anyway (the service)- does anyone have any suggestions about a better service, like Verizon or Sprint??? Thanks.

just called moto

the rep told me that tis only being released in the asian market and they have no idea when if ever it will be released here in the us..

i hate moto for doing this..they always do this type of ****..

i rmemeber when the accompli009 was coming out years back...t took about 3 years for me to actually get my hands on one after first hearing about it...and by that time it was already outdated...now it sits in my glove compartment and collects dust...

worthless...

Possible US Release Date

I posted this a few weeks ago, but it was buried in a different thread. I don't know if there is more to this, but I though I'd re-post so everybody could see this.

"I happened to stumble across this forum. Glad it's here. I've been looking for this MPx300/MPx for a long time. Here is some hopeful news. I called Motorola today (1-866-BUY-MOTO). I asked them if they planned to release the "MPx300" in the US. The response I got was that the "MPx" is being released. In fact it could be as early as late July or early August, however they were not 100% sure on the date. It definately will be released. However, I'm the kind of person that is a "See it when I believe it" person. This tech may not have know what he was talking about. So t...

Motorola MPx NOT Cancelled!!! I repeat NOT Cancelled

Hey Moto Fans!! I wanted to let you know that the Motorola MPx is NOT Cancelled and is very much alive and kicking!!

My brother works for Motorola in the R&D Dept for New Cellular Technology and he is very much in tune with the MPx...as a matter of fact this is his current project!! I spoke to him yesterday because I wanted to be one of the first to tryout this new phone when it is officially released in the U.S.

The reason for the delay is because the Motorola MPx is using a Microsoft Windows Pocket PC Operating System which will blow away the previous systems on the MPx200 & MPx220. The phone has got a lot of amazing features unavailable in the previously mentioned phones. It takes time to build "perfection" and get all the littl...

www.myMPx.com

Just to let everyone know we have created a dedicated website for the Motorola MPx (and its future incarnations). The website is located at:

http://www.mympx.com »

We also have a forum at

http://forum.mympx.com »

If you would like to submit anything (news, usage tips etc) please contact us.

We realise the current model is dead đŸ˜ĸ , but it looks like they are working on a newer model (which will hopefully have a name like MPx).

MPx Software

Hi,
do I need special software for the MPx or can I install old software build for the "old" PPC's like Dells X50 or Toshiba e800.

Prices should drop on this phone.

Now that the phone has been discontinued, prices should drop. I hope to pick one up at a low price soon. I have seen hundreds and hundreds of phones, and THIS IS THE BEST PHONE EVER INVENTED.

This phone has everything except EDGE

It has WiFi which is awesome. But no EDGE so the GPRS will be much slower when you go on the internet.
I am torn between this phone and the Nokia 9300.

Is going to be released for Cingular!

The Moto rep was here todya I got to hold one of these adn I do admit it is nice size in the hand. He did say that the phone is going to be released but that the specs will be updated as well as the actual body of the phone. Price is probably going to be similar to that of the SX66 from Siemens.

Facts of MPX Release Strategy

Fact 1 - Motorola isn't stupid - They don't want to mess customers about. Why the delay with the Western release of the MPX then.

my hypothesis is as followed

Fact 2 - The MPX is low on memory and has been slated by every bulletin board from here to kingdom come. Enter a new operating system Microsoft Windows Mobile 2005 (code name Magneto). Currently, Pocket PCs use RAM for both storage and to hold currently running applications. With Magneto, RAM will only be used for running applications. Flash ROM is where all application and file storage will happen.

Fact 3 - Microsoft have had a competitor appear in the email market which they have had no defense against... namely Blackberry. Blackberry pushes emails onto a mobile device. Many...
