Motorola MPx220

i got this phone from the internet a 3r party seller WWW.LETSTALK.COM and this phone kicks some ass so far i know how to mkae mp3's ringtones withouit changing anythoing on it but i have a question how can u make the external balck light stay on longer that would be cool if anyone could tell me if ure thinking about buying go to www.letstalk.com 🤣 😎 🙂 😁 😛 👿 😈 😉 🙄

anyone know exactly why the voicedial doesnt work from the bluetooth headset? and can it be solved with a 3rd party program?

I use the @mobile.att.net email scheme to send emails to my MPx220 phone. I frequently do not receive emails that have been sent. For example, I'll send three test emails to the phone about 30 seconds apart but will never receive at least one of them. Any suggestions??

where do u get the mp3 ringer tones ?

Profile and Sound question. I want to be able to set up different sounds for the different profiles. I know I chnage change the Ring Type under Profiles but I want to setup different sounds also. I don't see a way to do this??

For those with firmware 1.3, how's the speaker and earpiece volume now? similar to a V600s?

Where the heck do downloaded photos go in this friggin' phone?

I have downloaded over 10 images and I can't find anything in any of the folders. I just want to create photo contacts for a few of my contacts.

I even tried taking a picture with the phone and saving that to a contact but it didn't work!!

I just want to transfer my contacts from my old SIM card to the memory of the phone...
I have spent hours on hold and talking to the Motorola cust reps. and they seems like they have no idea what they're talking about. They transfer and they have not been able to help me. Please help....!!!!!

Does anyone know if the cingular stores are selling the 1.30 ROM phones? How much is it for the phone only at Cingular stores?

Can I upgrade my mobile myself then?

Can anyone verify, first hand, that the orange sticker boxes have f/w .342 and black sticker boxes have f/w 1.3? What f/w was the original flawed phone?

For those of you who have recieved a replacement from Cingular's Exchange by Mail, did it come with a box? What sticker was on it?

The Mpx220 is now on the website for $299 with contract. Does anyone know what version software the Cingular phone is??? Is anyone having any more luck with Exchange by Mail? Is the 1.3 really a fix all from the v.342? The ringtones on the .342 are still quiet.

My contract ends on Jan 7th..so it's phone shopping.. My 3 choices are the MOTO A780 😕 ?E680 😁 ?Or mpx220 🙂 .. can you guy's help please..should I just wait for the A780?help!! ☹️ ..which do you recommend I buy?

Aside from what I've learned from personal experience and Cingular employee testimonies, not all but most late model Motorola phones have low volume earpieces and ringers. That out of the way, has anyone reading this got a hold of a new mpx220 with firmware v1.3 that can tell us if the upgrade helped make better or eliminate their previous problem(s) with their early firmware model. If it's not helping then I don't want to wait until past 14 days from purchase to decide if it's worth the trouble to keep this model or try another one.

when i try to look for the mp3s i have downloaded to use them as a ringtone for a specific user i cannot find them in the list of tones they provide... how can i used my downloaded ones???

This post relates to trying to get corporate email on the road. That is also primarily why I bought this phone. When I try to get Express Mail on the phone's home page, it says "Coming soon". The people at Cingular can not tell me what "Coming soon" means. They also tell me that the Blackberry's and Treo's use Xpress Mail to get email on the road and eventually the mpx 220 will have this feature. There may be other ways, but apparently this is the intended way for this phone to operate. I know that we can sync our phones with our inbox with Active Sync but that is not all I wanted to do.
