Question about the 3200

Am shopping around for a new phone and have been attracted to the 3200 for some time.

Just wondering, tho, if is has a timer? My husband has a Kyocera that has an actual timer feature & it is just handy at times. Or is there an alarm feature on the 3200 that would serve the same purpose? Just looking for something that would remind me in X amount of hours or minutes when I am working outside to go back in the house & check something that is baking or whatever. I always have my cell phone with me so would be nice not to have to carry another gadget with me.

One last question - does it have a regular calculator in addition to the tip calculator? Sounds like I want a pda, but no, just a couple of handy features in an easy to use ...

Ring Tones! Ring Tones!

What can I say? I like them. I had a clunker of a phone - how was I to know? A Motorola v120c. The address list kept getting erased. So now I find I can upgrade my phone. So I got a CX-3200 (what is the difference between a CX and a VX-3200 anyhow? That the first one is available in Canada?) and with the promo, it was free. If I renewed my contract with Telus. I was able to download a couple of ring tones - Telus charges a few bucks for them, which is no consolation that it's in Canadian dollars. I downloaded a few interesting ones free onto my computer. How can I get them into the phone? Will email work? Or how is it done?
Otherwise, I'm impressed with my new phone, except, as it is said, reading the display in direct sunlight. I can li...

Connecting to PC

OK I added this phone to my plan for my son. We already have two LG VX6100. They work fine and I can transfer ring tones wallpaper and do things I want to. I purchased a data cable and CD full of ring tones etc from e-bay. I use bit pim to manage my data. Anyway the cable that is sold on e-bay for the 3200 is the same as the one I have for my 6100. However when I plug in the 3200 it is not recognized by the PC. Any suggestions?

Transferring pre-loaded ringtones from one phone to another phone using data pilot

I'm trying to find out if it is possible to transfer pre-loaded ringtones from one phone to another using datapilot? I have the LG VX3200, 6100 and the 7000. Or is there any other way to do this if it is possible? Thanks

3200 service light

Does any one know if this has been addressed?

Can the service light blink or show that a message is waiting ... or that the battery is done charging?

I know it didn't before but I didn't know if there was a software upgrade. Thanks.

A few questions for owners.

I have been looking at this phone with VZW. Can anyone tell me if the name of the person calling is displayed rather than just the number - I have read otherwise while doing research on the internet. How is battery life and speaker phone? Last, what kind of wallpapers are originally embedded in the phone, really don't care for the childish ones that can be downloaded from VTEXT? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Side Keys

Is there any way to disable or reprogram the side keys? If I hit them accidently while trying to answer the phone it ends the call and sends it to voice mail. This is a real problem when trying to get the phone out of your pocket while answering.

SAMSUNG A 650 VS LG VX 3200 in terms of reception and sound quality

I am thinking of returning my LG 6100 .
The reception and sound clarity with this phone
is poor. Not to mention the volume bug and signal flucatuation issues .

My old A 310 had really good reception and sound clarity but unfortunately is broken.

I was thinking of exhanging my phone for either
the SAMSUNG A 650 OR THE LG VX 3200 .

I was interested in knowing from people who own these phones their feedback on which is better
in terms of sound clarity and reception.

I REALLY DONT CARE ABOUT FEATURES I JUST WANT AN INSTRUMENT THAT CAN FUNTION AS A PHONE.

Replacement for VX4400

Hi all just curious I have the VX4400 and am looking to upgrade. It is a good phone and still works well but I would like speaker phone. Is this a good upgrade or is it not really worth it in comparison? I was hoping for the v265 but the screen sucks, i missed the deal on the 9900 and the 8000 is only digital. UGH! lol
please let me know what you think about the two phones.
Thanks,
Matt

What's the next step up in voice quality and reception?

I like the phone based on the reviews. I'm mostly interested in voice quality, speaker phone quality, and reception. Those are my criteria. What phones would be better, perhaps much better, than the LG VX-3200 described here?

I'll be using verizon in southern california if that information helps...

How to tell when phone is fully charged?

The manual says the battery charges in about 3 1/2 hours. Does something blink or change color when the battery has a full charge? Also, is it OK to leave the charger plugged into the phone overnight?

Thanks in advance.

viewing caller info before answering...

Hi, I'm relatively new to this cell phone business. Having a tri-mode appeals to me, but, as someone previously posted, I find the lack of external displays for Verizon's tri-mode phones disappointing.

Since this means you can't view a caller's name and # with the clamshell closed, is it possible to open the clamshell without automatically connecting to the caller? It's important to me that I can visually identify callers before I choose to answer. Does this mean I'm forced to pick one of Verizon's all-digital phones instead?

And if that's the case, do any of you know how good digital reception in the Boston, MA area tends to be?
