Flash!

Verizon customers can expect the Premium Suite in the Fall of 2015, just after the SGIII JB update!

Just wow

I'm surprised they haven't added Samsung TV's to the mix. Oh wait, they only seem to be going after devices that are in direct competition with them. People can say what they want but, if Samsung wasn't their direct competitor in hardware, i doubt Apple would be doing this. At least, not on such a large scale.

What The (insert choice of explitive)!

Apple is like that chic on Maury that got drunk at a party can't remember quite what had happened and now is parading an entire line of devices, making all kinds of absurd claims, clogging up the court dockets, subjecting everyone to undue test and scrutiny just to get a check. ..

Geesh Phone Baby Mama Drama

COME ON APPLE! Is this really worth the damage this is doing to your once in foul able BRAND? Have you checked the pulse on your Net Promoter Score? There are several consumers out there that will never buy an Apple product not because of your build quality but for this court room BS..

Anyone notice...

The various battery times for each carrier's model of the GS III?

T-Mobile and AT&T are showing 8 hours. Verizon is showing 15 hours. Sprint and US Cellular are showing 9.2 hours.

Some seriously oddball battery times.

After I got the update I checked 🙂 in the mobile network settings it has LTE/GSM/WCDMA (Auto mode) so I contacted Samsung support and they said this update does support LTE. 😁

UPDATE: I just did a online chat with Samsung support through it's website and they confirmed the this new update does support LTE please see below.

Please wait for a Samsung Agent to respond.

Mobile Hotspot Question

I currently have the MyTouch 4G. I use the mobile hotspot on my phone to provide internet for my laptop. I've never had to pay the $20 fee (or however much it is) to use the hotspot...and I have been using it just like this for almsot 2 years now and I use right aroud 5G's of data a month. Can I do this on this phone....or when I go to "turn on the hotspot feature" will it not allow me because I don't have the "paid hotspot" feature on my account?

Can someone test this or that already as knowledge let me know!

Thanks!

Search removal not described on the T-Mobile website

But at least they don't list it as required, as they did with the Exhibit.

It's bad enough that T-Mobile phones are infected with T-Mobile spamware, but now they are remotely vandalizing our phones.

Clearly they want to impress Apple, which loves that sort of thing.

Install "Aurora" to restore phone search functions

I installed the "pro" version, but it was free. Not sure if it is a trial or just plain free, but it can put a nice android-looking search bar on your desktop and it searches files, contacts, and SMS messages. Those results pop up as you type, and then you can hit enter to do a google search.

The only drawback is you have to use the widget or shortcut on the desktop (the dedicated search key still goes to simple google search).

Now I just need to get the wallpaper to scroll again.

the corporate statements always give me a chuckle.

🤣 ====> "Samsung has updated the software for the Galaxy S III as a precautionary measure to ensure that U.S. consumers may enjoy using our innovative products without interruption," said Samsung in a statement provided to Phone Scoop.

👀 which really means.....

I Really Hope

Apple's patent is invalidated...who the hell awards these things anyway....is it too much to ask that the people who grant patents be intelligent and informed about the technology they are supposed to be overseeing, so that they will be able to recognize a legitimate claim from a bogus one?

AMOLED Screen

Any clue if the screen still suffers the same burnt image problem as the other AMOLED screens? The S II in my showroom was pretty bad as is the Lumia and other phones with similar screens.

HSPA+ on all bands?

Does anyone know if HSPA+ is available on all bands? I am considering buying this phone full price from T-Mobile, unlocking it and using it on AT&T until I can get off-contract.
