Who else think this phone ROX?

I didnt no this phone was an older model. i got mine January 13, 2005. Some people say it feels like its gonna break when you are using it but all flip phones do. 🤣 :ninja: this phone, by far, ROX!

Long term review

Anyone have this phone long enough to give a long term review of how it is performing/build quality, etc compared to similar phones?? So far I see mixed reviews most liking the screen and many disliking its counter-intuitive user interface.

Phone Hoster for VM4050???

I just got the VM4050 today, returned the Sanyo 4500 to get it, and they didnt have a plastic holster for it. Does anybody know if they have one? Or do they just have the leather case, body glove, and mini-clip.

Games for Toshiba VM4050 ?????

Does anyone know where to get games for this phone? I have Sprint as the provider, but they only have like 16 cheezy games, and everywhere that I look no one has this phone listed. Anyone know where I can find some games for this phone, and screensavers too??

Free ringers from great WAP site

I have found this cool site called 3gupload.com where you can download a ton of pretty cool ringers for cheap. I paid around $10 and I got unlimited ringer downloads.
Actually you can get it for free if you just keep "changing your phone" on the home page

Weak Signal Problems

Does anyone know if there is something that can be done to improve signal strength in rural areas for this phone? Is there a replacement antenna or a setting that can be changed? I am very often showing "digital roam" when out in the country.

Be Happy with this Phone as the "Close Cousin" could be "Dead on Verizonal"

Those of us on the Verizon Network have been waiting for our Verizon Cousin the CDM-9900 since March. We are starting to believe it is now dead on arrival. I wish you all well with this phone as I will never have a chance "it appears" to own it with Verizon. 😡

Toshiba VM4050 WAP browser question

I think I will be picking up the VM4050 this weds. I've heard about the 35k cache limit. I also tired to get onto mapquest at the Sprint store and it would not load. I'm not sure if I was doing it right though. I've got a old startac and am new to the WAP borwsers. Can the VM4050 use vindigo studio apps. Will MapQuest Mobile work?? I'm not so concerned about being able to surf the web like on my computer I know the phone cant do that but I will not be happy if I cant use the same WAP pages that other phones can. Also I've read the chip is faster in the VM4050. Will the newer phones comming out be using this chip as well, meaning that more games etc will work on it or will this phone just be skipped?

vm4050 vs samsung vma680

I just bought the samsung a680. The four phones I was debating over were the samsung a600, the sanyo vm4500, the toshiba vm4050, and of course the a680. I'm totally happy that I didn't get the sanyo...still looking at the a600...and I think I'm over the vm4050. Is the a680 really better than the vm4050? As far as I can tell, screen/picture quality are the main highlights and that's not high on my list of cp priorities. What's your opinion?

VM4050 Vs Sanyo VM4500

Honestly i would kile to know how these two phones stand up to each other. I can read tech reviews untill my eyse roll back, but anyone have any serious opinions here?

This is going to be my only phone for the next 2 yrs, i need to send pics, and vids to japan, and i need to be able to sync up with the pc for pic and vid downloads...money is not a problem. You people seem to know alot about these so i'd value your opinions.

Sprint Downloads

Hello Everyone,

I bought this phone a couple days ago and for some reason when I log onto my sprint page it says that there are NO downloads available. Is anyone else having this problem?

I seem to be able to download some ringtones directly from my phone, but I would like to be able to listen to them before spending 2.50 on them.

If anyone else is having or not having this trouble on the sprint web site please let me know. I called sprint and they said it was because I have a newer model phone and things aren't available for it yet, but I think that is bs considering I can download tones to the phone from the phone.

Thanks Everyone,

-MadHatter

Call Groups

I feel like this is a dumb question, but does anyone know how to do caller groups on this phone? I always set ring tones to caller groups, and it's a pain to do each number individually.
