I just bought the samsung a680. The four phones I was debating over were the samsung a600, the sanyo vm4500, the toshiba vm4050, and of course the a680. I'm totally happy that I didn't get the sanyo...still looking at the a600...and I think I'm over the vm4050. Is the a680 really better than the vm4050? As far as I can tell, screen/picture quality are the main highlights and that's not high on my list of cp priorities. What's your opinion?

i own the VM4050. I think it's really awesome. I was debating over the A680 and the VM4050, but I chose the 4050 in the end b/c the 680 didn't come out fast enough...LOL! Anyways, this phone's pretty awesome. It gets a good signal. I have this spot in my house where I used to lose signal all the time. So far, one signal fade, but that was before I got the PRL upgrade. Speakerphone is nothin special; it's not even full duplex. The screen is TYTE! so big, and soooooooo clear. the clearity of this screen is awesome, and great to use vision on. The phone is really thin, but sooo long/tall. I really wanted the 680 cuz of it's size. Saw one the other day. It's really small compared to the 4050. That's what counts to me, after battery life and sign...

Thanks!! I never thought anyone would finally respond, so I stopped checking. Glad to get your input. I still have a few days to switch, but I think I'll keep the a680. I do wish the 4050 screen was on it though!
