SANYO! STOP COPYING!!!

The first Katana was obviously a RAZR copy, but now they have the Katana II which again copies Motorola. Looks a lot like the new W510 and RAZR2.

No Multi Media.

😢 What I can get Sprint Music Center on a Regular Katana 1 6600 but not the Katana 2 6650 what is that, I thought this was an upgrade not a downgrade. 👿 Also since it's not powervision can't get the Sprint Tv either.

How is Phone Quality??

title, planning to buy two of these for Mother and Aunt. All they want is speakerphone clarity and GREAT or goood call quality. My aunt works in a federal courthouse and complains she doesnt get any signal with her SCP3200.

way solid

I don't understand why Sanyo isn't more popular. The katanas are so solid and unique. I wish I had the DLX instead of the II, however. (Didn't really wanna front the cash.)

Voice Memo as Ringtone?

Can I set a voice memo *AS* a ringtone on a Sanyo Katana? In other words, could I record a song as a voice memo, then go into ringtones, and select that voice memo to BE my ringtone?

If this is doable, could someone please tell me how to do it?

Jesus H.. youd think Sanyo raped your dogs

Hey geniuses, its a mid-tier phone.
It isnt meant to play MP3
It isnt meant to do PV
It isnt meant to compete with the RAZR
It isnt meant to do any of that.
Its meant to have people come in and go, oh wow, that phone is cute, and its only 50 dollars.. and its a Sanyo, great, Ill take one.

Theres a reason the Katana outsells every phone we carry.

Don't obstruct the antenna...

with your hands. it's ok to put it near your mouth... by the way eric z all sprint phones have stickers warning you where the antenna is as to not obstruct it and in turn have a better call experience.

How is the speakerphone?

I have owned the Katana for about a year now and absolutely love it, with the sole exception being the speakerphone. Has anyone tried it out? I was hoping that Sanyo had improved it with this version but can't seem to find it mentioned in any of the reveiws so far.

Update, no Upgrade

This phones looks even less appealing than the original Katana. And none of the updates are significant to make an original Katana owner envious.
