The first Katana was obviously a RAZR copy, but now they have the Katana II which again copies Motorola. Looks a lot like the new W510 and RAZR2. »

It looks nothing like the RAZR... and especially the RAZR2.. only thing in common is thin profile... dont insult the RAZR like that... Eh?

Keep in mind that the Katana is a better phone than the Razr. No it doesn't have an mp3 player or 2mp camera, but you WILL get better reception with any Sanyo than any Motorola Sprint sells. I sell Sprint phones all day and the #1 defective phone is the Razr. Check out JD Power, they have Sanyo on top for a reason. Why do you think Sprint signed Sanyo to an exclusive agreement to sell only to Sprint.

That exclusivity deal with Sprint is also the reason Sanyo's cell phone division is being sold: not enough customers are joining Sprint and it's losing money for them. Oops!

Yeah...I read about that.

Question to you Mr you know if Sprint will lose exclusive rights since Sanyo is selling their cell phone division? Not that it really matters...Im just curious.

I agree. I've owned both Sanyo and Motorola and the reception and the battery life is so much better with Sanyo. Smile

ACTUALLY, Motorola does have better reception, usually. The Razr just isn't their best work. I just ordered the katana 2, and I hope it's more solid than the razr. I've had motorola for the past two years, so I'm a little worried about switching. (I have a V551.)

The volume on the Katana 2 isn't all that grand. THat's my single complaint thus far. (I sell for Sprint too, captain amazing pants.)

DID sprint make them sign a contract only with them? because, last time I checked, Qwest sells Sanyo phones too....

uh oh. mr. sprint doesn't know his product.

qwest can get away with it because they run off sprint's network (for now as i hear they are switching to verizon, wich pisses me off due to i just got my qwest phone today
