How goos is the 755p?????????

I have heard mixed reviews when it comes to palm smartphones. I have heard that they freeze alot and do not stay connected to bluetooths. i have never owned a smartphone and was considering this phone (755p) or either a blackberry. I havent really heard anything bad about the blackberrys. so any helpful info would be appreciative. thanks 🙂

EVDO Rev A Support

Does the 755P supports EVDO Rev A? My understanding is that the prior Treo's only supported rev 0.

755p or wait for 700p update

I have a 700p, but the constant freezing with concern for the txt app is very frustrating. Should I wait for the rumored update on the 28th or buy the 755p?

700wx --> 755 - Some questions before I do it...

I have a 700wx now and I am thinking of switching to the 755 as I have some programs I need for my business that apparently run faster and more reliably on Palm OS rather than Windows Mobile.

I do however have some questions and was hoping someone could answer them for me, mainly these are features I use a LOT on my 700wx that I hope the 755 can also do or has something similar to:

1) The Today Screen - I really love this on the 700wx, I know the 755 doesn't have this natively and I have looked around at the 3rd party solutions, but I have yet to find anything close to the 700wx's functionality there (important items being, time & date, battery life, signal strength, number of unread emails, calendar (agenda), tasks and the final item ...

Quick accessory question

I'm having trouble finding accesories for the 755 probably cuz it's so new. Would 680 accessories work since they are the exact same design? Thanks in advance.

Sirius?

I have the sirius service on my A920, wondering if sirius works on the palm phones? Or even the windows phones?

Nice Treo 650 Review

The Palm OS is very familiar to most smartphone users, so a review of the new Treo 755p should focus on any improvements on the Treo 700p.

In comparison to the Treo 700p...
Is the screen brighter/whiter?
Is the speaker louder/less distorted when playing ringtones or using the speaker phone?
Does it handle MIDI files with elegance?
Are the system fonts different or more anti-aliased?
Is the speaker-phone full or half-duplex?
Is there improved handling of the "push enterprise messaging?"
How does the smaller SD-Mini card fare compared to the full 4GB SD Card?
How does the Calendar look in place of the phone dialer on the home screen?
Is it Palm OS 5.4.2 or a greater version?
How fast does it recover from a soft reset?
Is the rese...

755 Purchased 5/11 Some issues

Using the IM software, works fine with Yahoo but locks up with AIM, you actually have to remove the battery to reboot it. The phone locked up one other time for no apparant reason. The Exchange Activesync lacks the ability to enter the Domain which neither sprint nor my email providor could figure how to fix. I did manage to fix it by placing the domain/username in the login field. Nice phone, feels solid, battery life seems great. they just need to fix the AIM part of the im software. Any questions, ask away!

Google Maps and Microsoft Exchange....

2 Questions....

1. How does the google maps work? Is it kinda like mapquest? Cause I didnt think this phone had turn by turn nav capabilities. And does using G-maps use minutes or data?

2. How exactly does the exchange push email work. Is it something I could set up with any account?

Thanks for your help!

It's Selling Already

I went to BestBuy yesterday and I saw a floor model of it. It's small!! It was selling for around $250 with a 2 yr contract. The lady working there told me that they were selling them. Now only if Verizon would be selling it lol. Just thought ppl might want to know.

Review

More like a Palm OS Video Tour, but whatever. The 755p still looks nice. The dark grey's a little depressing though. Come on Palm, bring some color over here like with the 680s!

Same Battery as the 750?

The battery life on the 680 and 750 is terrible-it looks like this phone is also the "thinner" version. I hope Palm has gone with the battery that is in the 700P and 700WX so business users can have a phone that lasts more than 3 hours. 👀
