Treo 755p Available on Verizon Website Now

Just checked, the 755p is finally shown as available on Verizonwireless. Been a long time coming.

I have a Blackberry 8700 for work on ATT. I purchased on iPhone on ATT after my trusted Treo 650p went into disrepair. I love the iphone and been a Mac user for ever so it fits nicely into my overall hardware platform - nevertheless something was missing. I then went and got a Blackberry Pearl 8310 on VZW - love it - hate it. The iPhone blows anything out of the water when it comes to rendering HTML emails and web browsing....

Ok, so contemplating selling the iPhone and BB 8310 to get back on a Treo 755p on Verizon's excellent network

Verizon Update

Spoke to a Verizon representative on the phone this evening from customer service and she told me she has absolutely no word on the 755p. She said that Verizon is reluctant to provide release dates to customers who inquire over the phone so as not to get people's expectations up too high. All I was told was that there are some phones currently being tested for quality assurance that may or may not be released in the near future. She did not indicate whether or not this would include the 755p. Overall the conversation and her follow-up e-mail to me were not informative in the least. I received a similar answer from a Verizon store employee this past weekend. He had heard nothing and did not expect to hear anything in the near future.

Verizon get the 755p? I don't believe it...but here's the story

Thought this was interesting. My friends working for VZW are still saying after the New Year. Interesting link though.

Pictures and video...

How is the quality of the pictures taken on this phone? Just like regular cell phone cameras? And video quality? Do they look ok or as bad in the review from this site?

Bluetooth Compatibility

Does anyone at all know which bluetooths (teeth? lol) are compatible with the 755p? My H555 and Plantronics 330 and it seems to drop and then readd its connection. Thanks!

Does anyone know FOR SURE whether or not the 755p...

...takes the 4gb minisdhc card?

I saw on ebay a 4gb minisd NOT sdhc, so I was wondering if it will take that, and or the sdhc..or if the seller was bsing it and the one he was selling WAS the sdhc.

No Data Charge ?

Is there any one out there who wants a PDA phone (Palm) without paying for data charges. I know there is a market out there for people like me, but it seems all of the providers require data service $$.

I recently spoke to a Verizon Corporate Rep who said they get that question all the time. Most people are in need of Phone, contacts and calendar....

Any help out there for a phone and service that would provide a good PDA calendar without paying for Data ?

One person told me I could cancel the Data service after a month of service. They thought the contract would be ok with cancelling the Data charges.

Normal Phone Rings

Anyone know where I can find a "normal" ringtone? My definition of "normal" is what most house phone would sound like. No music. No beats. No words.

I'd be grateful...

Q or 755p?

Hey I just got the Q yesterday from Sprint and I like it but its not too great. Its kind of hard to get around and I wish there were a touchscreen. I will be using my smart phone for heavy internet, email, and text messaging use. I would also like to listen to the radio through internet stream. Which phone would be better for me? I have never had a smart phone so I could go either way. Opinions please? Thanks

755P VS BB8830

I'm looking at getting a new phone and am considering the 755P and the 8830. I have been a long Palm fan and have owned several but never a treo. I am a paramedic and will be using the phone for medical programs, (there are versions for both), web browsing, e-mail, and GPS. I will also want to use my phone as a modem for my laptop. I also love e-books and used that a lot om my palms. Bluetooth is cool but not very important to be honest.

What do you guys think?

Sprint Palm Treo 755p or Sprint HTC Mogul???

Hello everyone. I've been trying to make a decision on which phone to upgrade to for a REALLY long time now, and I'm really stuck between these two. I've never had a PDA (coming from a Samsung A900)and all of my research still hasn't helped me decide. Does anyone out there know which phone is actually better??? Please help! Thanx!

700p or 755

My Verizon Razr thankfully went through the washing machine the other month, and I need to get a new phone. I've decided to go with a smartphone, and am trying to decide wether to go with the 700p or wait until Oct/Nov for the 755. I'm in no big rush, but have seen advantages to both phones. Is the 755 worth the wait?
