Can't get headphone adapter to work

I just got an adapter on ebay for my LG trax that allows me to plug regular headphones into it, but all sound, including music, still comes from the regular cell phone speaker. Does anyone know if there is some kind of adjustment or routine I have to perform to get sound to come through the headphones? Does anyone else have one of these adapters that works?

How to listen to music on Bluetooth headset?

My buddy just bought this phone as an upgrade to the CU400 he had, and I like it well enough that I think I'll go pick one up for myself, along with a Sandisk memory card. Now, from what I understand from reading various materials, it's possible to listen to music from the phone's media player via a Bluetooth headset. My buddy has a Plantronics 220 earpiece paired with the phone (this is the type that only goes in one ear, it is not stereo) and I couldn't figure out from reading the manual and playing with the phone exactly how to get the music to play over the headset. How can I accomplish this? Do I need a specific brand/type of Bluetooth handsfree device? I want to be able to do this, it's one of the main reasons I'm considering this purc...

Customizing buttons

Hi all,

Does anyone know if it is possible to customize the buttons on the LG Trax? For one example I would really like the center button that pulls up AT&T's media net to pull up the menu instead.

Thanks.

Address Book, Calendar, and Syncing

I am considering this phone, and am keenly interested in the Address Book functionality and Syncing-to-PC options. A couple of questions:

1. Does the Address book allow for more than just phone numbers, email address, and photo? Does it provide extra fields for such things as Street Address?

2. Has anyone sync'd this phone to their PC? Nothing I've found in any forums has instilled any confidence here. Does LG provide a Sync application for the PC? If so, does it sync to Outlook? Does it sync both Address Book and Calendar? Can you sync via Bluetooth, rather than only via the proprietary USB cable?

3. On another forum, a Trax owner asked this question: For my new LG Trax phone, the numbers that I enter all have the same pur...

Trax claims to have streaming bluetooth MP3 player...

I recently installed a the Pioneer DEH-P7900BT deck for my car. The kid at best buy said that i should be able to listen to the music player on my phone through the bluetooth deck now in my car. well it makes phone calls great (through the stereo system), but while the phone and deck is sync'ed with my mp3 player function running, it still is only playing through the crappy phone speakers and not through my car speakers? any one nerdier than me want to educate me out there? Thanks for your time... it's driving me nuts 🙂

Why does at&t always get the ugly LG's

Verizon always gets the sexy looking devices from LG. (I'm digging the new 8550)

AT&T always gets the boxy-bulky looking handsets.

Do you think newer WCDMA models will eventually slim down?

Send/menu change tones

So do you suppose they got rid of the goofy jingles that played every time you changed a menu setting or sent a message? That would be my dealbreaker on this phone. Sure you can give the same response as everyone else did about the 320 and 500 (just put it on vibrate), but I don't keep or want my phone on vibrate full time.

I like it.

This looks like a phone that I may have to get. It's about time that at&t came up w/ a phone like this!

Is there more?

I am debating on either getting this phone or the RIM BlackBerry 8820? These are the only 2 phones coming out sometime in late Aug. or early sept? oh well. one or the other

wow!

Anyone know if they will have a WORKING data cable and software this time around? We had to go outside the U.S. when the cu500 came out to get software and cable. Took like 2 weeks just to find it. With HSDPA 3.6 alot of people will want to use it as a modem. Won't be able to do it without cable and drivers.

Cheap Version

This looks to just be an inexpensive version of the LX-570 Muziq for Sprint.

less colorful screen, larger, smaller battery, no front controls, no FM transmitter, and no headset jack.

Same old garbage resolution

Come on now.......176x220 is 3yr old technology. As we are approaching the VGA era, LG still stubbornly refuses to update. And don't give me any of this "it saves battery life" nonsense. Many QVGA screens last just as long. And since QVGA is the standard or mid to high-end models, they can't use price as an excuse. Even Motorola has finally come around. It's time for LG to do the same. I noticed they use the same resolution with their new Fusic phone for Sprint as well.
