Palm is the perfect name for these guys
Every other qwerty out there now is a lot thinner. Why does Palm insist on lagging behind? They might as well call it the new Palm "Brick" because that's what it feels like in your pocket, 20% lighter or not. Is it so hard to slim this device down? If Motorola can do it why can't Palm? I would have bought this device a long time ago to sync with my Mac... if it didn't look like luggage.
Here's all we need to know: The iPhone cometh. All fear the iPhone. Cheap plastic buttons, lame Windows Mobile and Palm OS, weak media players and stupid stylus pens: start making funeral arrangements now. All you PC loyalists still hanging on to the 80's metal dream need to wake up and see that Nirvana's "Nevermind" will soon be the end of you all.

Cingular 8525
I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I just wanted to hear some more opinions.
I have 15 days left on my trail period and don't know enough about toe treo 750 to make the switch.
The 8525 has Wi-Fi capabilities, to me this is a huge perk. Although i don't rely on the internet like most buisness users do, I am always somewhere with a hot-spot and to me it its just free internet. Why pay for slow internet when you could hook up to fast internet for free?
Opinions?

Lacks Transcriber Software?!?!?
I was comparing the HTC Ty tn to the 750 and noticed that the 750 does not have transcriber software. What's up with that? Is there an application that can be purchased for the 750 to replace Transcriber?

Opinion is Needed
I am an experienced Phonescooper and user of logic; I know this will be subject to preference.
Which device do you think I should get, thus is better, the Cingular 8525 or the Treo 750 (after the HSPDA upgrade, of course)?

New to PDA Phones...
I am considering upgrading to a PDA phone. I am in the medical field and need to put multiple applications on the phone. Things like patient interview and pharmacy programs.
I am a bit mixed up on the different forms of Microsoft PC available on phones. Need something similar to what runs on my Dell PDA.
Considering 8525 and Palm 750, any insight to the ins/outs of these operating systems would be appreciated
Call Quality and Signal
How is the call quality of the Treo 750 and the signal of the phone? I will be getting my phone tomorrow.

Dropped Calls
I have also noticed the dropped calls. It only happens when UMTS is engaged. I have set the band to GSM instead of auto. I have not had one call drop while on GSM. I hope that the update for HSPDA will correct this.
You should test furthur selecting between the GSM and UMTS band.
As the Treo 750 is one of the best devices I have ever used.
Nice review

Cradle Kit
Will the cradle kit that Palm makes for the Treo 650, 680 and 700 be compatible with the Treo 750?
Verizon Maybe?
Has anyone heard if this device will be available for Verizon customers?

750 memory?
I had a Treo 700W - had 60mb of "shared" memory - which meant that you really have 30 meg to work with. It was always running short on memory. I see the 750 also has 60mb of "shared" memory. Does anyone know if this is the same as the 700W?

Is there a way to have a dedicated button...
to bring up the phone keypad without having to scroll up to "dial pad" on the screen?
Streaming Video
Does anyone know about this phone and streaming video. I now have the Blackjack and I am considering the Treo 750. I know that the Treo has streaming video capability but I have read that it can not connect to the cingular video site.

mini-sd wifi card???
i saw a after market mini-sd wifi card for the treo 750. Would it work and will palm offer one? surprising if they allow it because I know cingular would rather take my money on their data plans. The treo wont be available on palms site till the end of Jan. Maybe they will show then if that accessory would work. Anyone else know????
I'm glad the iPhone is coming out
That will push the price on the 750 down faster.

Screen resolution 240x240 vs 320x240
I read an article stating that the 240x240 resolution was causing problem with viewing web pages and documents, that contents run off the edges. Also that Pocket PC applications look for 320x240 rectangular screens.
I have not been able to get my hands on a 750, in the Dallas Fort Worth area they are all sold out and don't know when to expect next order.
Any of you out there that has one of these units can give me your opinion?
Cingular 750 and Verizon 700p
I now, have both
I think the 700P is far more superior to the 750
maybe because the Palm OS so much easier to use and understand
your take??

***Palm 750 & Mobitv***
Is the 750 going to be MobiTV compatible? and since its 3G is it worth having the TV? and one last question I've always had, is this MobiTV service a live stream? or is it like the Cingular video? 🙄
