How can you make the earpiece volume louder?

I recently just bought the 750, however, I find myself having a hard time hearing people. Is there something wrong with mine, or is it the phone? If it is, is there anything I can do to raise the volume?

i have a question? ringtones..

I've been wanting to buy the Treo 750 but I have one thing holding me back. I was wondering if you can set a text/ring tone for everyone in your address book, or is it just one for everyone? I really love being able to have everyone set to a different tone.. I'd really like to know this before I buy the phone.

Thanks,
Katherine

WM6!

Thank God ...

If you haven't found it by now ...
It worked like a charm. A little laggy, but that could well be from the 3rd-party apps I've got running.

And for my early take on the 750 ...

BB Curve vs Tilt vs 750

I'm a current Treo 650 user. I send a lot of e-mails.
Does anyone out there have any history using the BB Curve or Tilt compared to the 750?

Thanks

word and excel documents

I am thinking about getting this phone because I like the palm software that's out there. I was originally looking at the 680, but was told that I cannot create and edit my word and excel documents and have it downloaded/uploaded to my laptop. I own a restaurant and am always looking for an easier way to run my business and having a tool that will allow me to do my inventory, scheduling, etc... all in one device is a plus. I have my laptop for that, but need something more mobile. My question is: can I create a word/excel document on my laptop, upload it to my palm, edit it and be able to transfer that information back to my laptop? can it work in reverse as well? I realize this question may not be in the technical wording as the other...

iPaq 910 or Treo WM6?

So, both a Treo 800W on WM6 and the HP iPaq 610 WM6 are rumored to be coming out soon...I'm holding out for one of them, just not sure which yet. I have had a 700W and now a 700WX for quite a while and overall it's ok, but I'm looking forward to improvements on it.

I am in no way familiar with the iPaq's, but I have to say the 910 specs look VERY impressive and knowing HP tends to only release stuff "done right" and palm has been known to release buggy stuff, I'm wondering if I should think of switching to an iPaq when the 910 becomes available. Everything about it just seems to scream - IT WILL WORK and again, I'm pretty fond of HP products, they tend to just work and I can't say the same for my experience with Palm stuff but again, I ha...

A newbie's take ...

The Treo 750 is my first smart phone/pocket pc. I'm not what I'd consider a "power user," just your run-of-the-mill nerd who wanted something more than a regular phone.

I'd pretty much fallen in love with the Treo when I first saw it years ago. I did my homework, waited for months, and now I finally have one.

If you're in the market, do your research. Hopefully, this will help some.

A few observations:

Size: Worried about thickness? I wouldn't be. I've got small hands, but it still feels great. The keyboard is a little cramped, but you get used to it. (My wife has the 680, and it's keyboard is slightly easier to use.) But be sure to try it out before buying and make sure you know what you're getting.

Phone quality: ...

International Travel... HELP!

So I am traveling to Australia and was thinking about purchasing a prepaid SIM card. Is my Treo 750 able to take that right out of the box? or do I have to "unlock" it somehow to be able to do that?

No Voice Dial?!?!

I bought the Treo 750.
Phone Scoop specs this phone as having "Voice Dial".
Not so, at least the one I bought has NO voice dial software. It does have "Voice Command" whereby it announces certain events and callers, but thats all I can find.
Any one know any different?

Turn off 3G?

Does anyone know if it is possible to turn off the 3G/WCDMA to conserve battery? Does it then revert to EDGE (on AT&T)?

data plans?

Sorry to ask but under search i didnt find anything on this topic which Im sure has been ebatent od eath.

Can I setup the $20 smart phone plan on my own and still get the treo to work with it, or do I have to fork over $40 a month with the pda plan?

I know the blackjack could do this but wasnt sure about the treo which im heavily considering.

All I really want is occasional web browsing, googlemaps, and a 3rd party AIM/YiH/ICQ client, leaving the IM client running most of the day.

Oh and has anyone left the IM running all day and will it hold up or the battery die too quickly?

Penny for you're thoughts?
