New Motorla e815...Still on the fence

recently upgraded my LGVX6000 for a Motorola e815. Feeling pretty mixed so far, although with a couple of good suggestions I could easily end up keeping this phone. Here are my problems:

1) When I use the bluetooth headset, people I'm talking to hear the infamous "echo" on the other end of the line. I saw on an old thread that there was a firmware fix for this. My version is 8720_01.17.03. That thread was from February. How could a Verizon store, in NYC no less, still be selling phones out of the box with known problems and old firmware? Is that level of incompetence common? I even took it back and exchanged it because I was having these issues, and they told me I had the latest software.

2) I'm having a lot of problems with the voice...

My b/f had an echo when using his headset. I was told it was because the phone volume was at 7... if you can't get your phone 'flashed' try turning it down the 815 is pretty loud. I haven't heard of any voice recognition problems with this phone... make sure you're saying the right things I guess. I know it sounds dumb but computers are dumb.

DROP the moto. you'll be much better off and more satisfied with a highend lg or samsung for the short and/or long run.
