I am an indirect agent and a motorola employee who bought a phone from us just said he read an article about the RAZR that is going to be available to us Verizon CDMA customers in the 4th Quarter of this year, and of course its going to be better than the current RAZR that whack ass cingular offers

I am a manufacturer of accessories and we have submitted several case and holster products to be reviewed for a CDMA Razer phone. These were submitted back in Jan of this year.

if you havn't heard already there is an updated GSM RAZR due out the same time as the CDMA release, it has a megapixel camera and EDGE data, oh and best of all non crippled bluetooth!! sorry CDMA looks like you still can't one up GSM cell phones

Cingulars also getting the RAZR V3X which will have hsdpa(3g), a 2 megapixel camera for pics, and a vga camera for 2 way video calling.

although I will probably get the v3x I really dont consider it a razr based on how thick it is, well I guess its a RAZR compared to current umts phones.

And considering the specs on the CDMA RAZA say it will have less capability than the current V3, i.e. no Bluetooth. Even with a megapixel camera the lack of Bluetooth makes it not quite the V3.

OMG I don't even consider a phone if it doesn't have bluetooth, I figured that it would just have the restricted BT like all of the other Verizon phones, I use OBEX all the time so I couldn't even imagine having a phone without that.

Apparently Moto was listening. Looks like we get a different phone from the MS500. And it will have BT. So that could work out for all us BT loving people. This is a definite change from what was originally advertised.

And you just had to add that didn't you? What did you think you accomplished by that little smear against cingular? Could it be that you are *jealous* of cingular for getting a decent phone compared to the ho-hum line of phones that Verizon offers?

Hey all. I just wanted to say that is phone is gonna rock. All my friends have this phone and I have wished that Verizon would get something like it. As for the bluetooth well it really doesn't affect me seeing as I'm 17 and I would get this phone simply cause it's cool.
Just another thing to addd. I have never seen an adult using this phone. I have realy only seen kids around my age with it.

That might be because you hang around with a lot of teenagers vs. 30 somethings. No offense intended. I happen to work with a lot of 30 and 40 somethings and many of them have the V3. Even adults like the fashion of this phone. 🙂
