LG vs Motorola

Hi All

I am with AT&T in Los Angeles Area. I am going to replace my phone. Which is better? LG or Motorola (V525 is what I am looking at). Is there a LG phone that is comparable? Which is a better phone?

Thanks!

Why is that? I am leaning towards the Motorola anyways. But a friend has an LG and seems to like it.

Well I can tell you the majority of customer complaints on dropped calls starts with the LG 4010 and 1300....at least not those two. I personally wouldn't get any one the is currently out in US, may be they are better overseas.

LG phones are more feminine.. Great color screen and cameras and the sort (L1400) but I'd prefer the v600/v400.

They can be feminine all day, but I wouldn't go near. How about a Samsung, they are nice no big reception issues, easy to use, and they look feminine too!! 🙂

That too.. but if you really wanna go all female, go for the more UNreliable Innostream.. 🤣
As feminine as it gets with all the bad RF, phone freezing and reseting that you can handle... I really did my mother wrong with that phone... 🤣

Want to laugh? LG phones for Verizon Wireless highly outstrip the motorola phones for VZW. Signal everywhere, no freezing issues, rediculous battery life.

It's the complete opposite for ATTWS. Apparently moto phones on the GSM tech work extremely well. Great signal, great battery life.

I find it rather amusing.

LG fixed the RF thing with the L1400... also they are replacing the antenna on the 1300 for free... and much better...

Motorola would be my choice. I believe it is an all around better company. I know both companies have had thier trouble models, but I believe Motorola's phones do have better programming. I have had the Motorola V220 and T720 and also the LG c1300. Also I have had the Nokia 8265 and the Nokia 3595. My favorite phones have been the two Nokias. They were great phones for me. Packed with features, no, but they were very good phones. I only have had one problem with the 3595 and that was it itermittenly would not recognize the sim card. I sent it in to Nokia and after three months, I finaly got a replacement phone. But I have been fairly happy with the Motorola's. The v220 was good except for the very very very poor camera quality. Motorola is pretty good but they've always have and always will (the way it looks) have software issues. They struck gold with the v series phones but don't count out LG. They really sucked with the L1200 and c1300 but I have heard good things about the L1400. I gave one to my mom and sold one to her friend.

the phone is pretty good. the only issue with that phone is the onboard memory. stored one mp3 tone and about 4 pictures and the memory is full. then could not get the phone to actually use the mp3 tone as a ring tone on the phone. until an update is ava. then i guess we have to deal with it. i've heard that the c1400 is the same way. other than that the phone is great.

If you had a choice between a Hyundai and a Jag, what would you choose? The Jag. Same thing with the phones, I find that Motorola is the Jag and LG is the Hyundai.

I'd rather ride in a Ford and live to tell about it than be in a Hyundai or KIA(Killed in Action).

My point, Motorola will hold it's value than LG anyday.

In my opinion, Motorola is garbage. How the hell can they take a v600 sit on it until is thin, call it the v3 and jack it up a couple of hundred bucks?? Don't get me wrong, it has greatly improved but it can't compare to the likes of other manufacturers. Nokia = Benz / SE = BMW. Rather drive those than a ford any given day. By the way, you could have gotten killed in a ford (PINTO). 🤣

Oh no... LG is more like a Nissan... Moto does not even rank with a Hyundai... maybe a Kia... or a Deawoo...

I love motorolas its a great company as far as Im concerned and there phones prove this. Now LG is only great when on the verizon network other than that there garbage. Motorola works on three different technologies gsm/tdma/Iden. Motorola is like Ford and LG is like a GEO.
