It appears Rogers Wireless is finally shutting down their TDMA and AMPS networks by the 1st of June according to a PR of theirs. If the FCC has it their way, AMPS will be kaput by 2008 pending a few appeals by some home security companies like ADT. As far as TDMA goes, I'd like to think the remaining wireless carriers here in The States will hop to one of the 2 major digital camps(CDMA or GSM) by the end of this year. Cingular Wireless charges $4.99/line/month to their customers who have not yet migrated over to their GSM network.

I wanna work for Rogers! I heard they were a great company to work for. Im stuck in the US and was looking into moving to Winnipeg here within the next few months. Anyone have any pointers of what i can do to apply or who i could contact? I went to the site but it kept sending me to the Rogers Video store site.

Hey Canadians! I going to be moving up there in a few months. Before I shoot for a job through Rogers do I need to have all my immagration paperwork completely finished or can I get a work Visa while I finish up?

Lets get beyond what the Nokia 5300 looks like and what look like "COOL" or "Sexy" features. Just everybody offers a wide array of cool stuff on their phones today.

How does the Nokia 5300 stand up under normal, easy usage? IT DOESN"T. So all those "COOL" features just added to your wastage of hard earned money.

I bought a brand new Nokia 5300 in mid June 2007 from Rogers to upgrade my 3 year old Nokia 3220 which was a personal use phone. This was to be the 6th Nokia phone that our family has had in the last few years. The Nokia 5300 stopped working by July 7th. So the phone lasted 3 whole weeks.

I have a question concerning my RAZR V3c phone.
I just got mine today, (first cell phone too) and wow, it sure is awesome!
But I'm curious about something. Is it possible to take pictures stored on my computer and put them onto my RAZR phone, just via a mini USB cable? ..I heard that this is possible via wireless bluetooth, (I think) but my computer does not have any bluetooth technology.
I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks! 🙂

Hi I just got a Nokia 6103 from rogers and i want to get a bluetooth headset for my phone. Would I need to buy a nokia brand headset or would any brand work with my phone?

does anyone have any idea if there is a external antenna port on the 5450? if so, where is it?

The subject line says it all. I got a brand-new Motorola RAZR for my birthday, and it's locked to the Fido network. It's on a plan and it works fine, but text messages that are sent to me never appear in my inbox. I can send the text messages just fine, but the phone fails to recieve text messages. I hacked the phone to download games and a skin for free, but I haven't fiddled around with the firmware so I doubt that this is the problem. I already called Fido Tech Support, but their solution does not fix the problem. Any of you experience the same thing and know the remedy?

the mp3 player on my lg 8100 through telus will not play mp3 or wma files so i want ti change the file format the the sdc file format that it plays, is there a software that can do this?? 😕

I got a phone recently for Christmas and well my friend told me in order for my pictures and videos from my phone to be uploaded on my computer I have to have the program for it. So my friend downloaded it for me but it would not work. When I connected the USB cord it said that the Elasped Time:and the numbers kept going up and the next button was ghosted and I couldnt continue. Is there anyway I can download another version of the program? Can someone help me please? I would really like to upload my photos and videos to my computer.

It's a new service through PC financial. I was going to go with Bell as I'm moving to the Yellowknife, NWT, but just saw it today.
