Blackberry use in rural areas

I'm doing some research in upgrading my cell phone. I travel for work, but travel in farming/rural communities. I've found my nokia works well and has in the past. However, I've been looking at a Blackberry 8830. My server is Bell and they have been excellent. Other people I know who use any other server have less range in the country locations than I do.

So, I just need some input as to the range this phone has--can I keep phone calls in the country? Will it cut out? Thanks for your help.

Please feel free to contact me via my email.

Looks like Rogers Wireless to drop TDMA & AMPS by 6/1/7

It appears Rogers Wireless is finally shutting down their TDMA and AMPS networks by the 1st of June according to a PR of theirs. If the FCC has it their way, AMPS will be kaput by 2008 pending a few appeals by some home security companies like ADT. As far as TDMA goes, I'd like to think the remaining wireless carriers here in The States will hop to one of the 2 major digital camps(CDMA or GSM) by the end of this year. Cingular Wireless charges $4.99/line/month to their customers who have not yet migrated over to their GSM network.

Here's a C&P of the Rogers Wireless PR:

Rogers Wireless to Upgrade Remaining TDMA and Analog Wireless Customers
As Rogers turns down its TDMA and Analog network, the relatively few

Nokia 5300

Warning to potential Nokia 5300 purchasers.

Lets get beyond what the Nokia 5300 looks like and what look like "COOL" or "Sexy" features. Just everybody offers a wide array of cool stuff on their phones today.

How does the Nokia 5300 stand up under normal, easy usage? IT DOESN"T. So all those "COOL" features just added to your wastage of hard earned money.

I bought a brand new Nokia 5300 in mid June 2007 from Rogers to upgrade my 3 year old Nokia 3220 which was a personal use phone. This was to be the 6th Nokia phone that our family has had in the last few years. The Nokia 5300 stopped working by July 7th. So the phone lasted 3 whole weeks.

The Nokia 5300 was carried in a leather pouch on my belt right beside my Blackberry 8703E ...

Question about the RAZR

Hey everyone Very Happy
I have a question concerning my RAZR V3c phone.
I just got mine today, (first cell phone too) and wow, it sure is awesome!
But I'm curious about something. Is it possible to take pictures stored on my computer and put them onto my RAZR phone, just via a mini USB cable? ..I heard that this is possible via wireless bluetooth, (I think) but my computer does not have any bluetooth technology.
I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks! Smile

Fido RAZR doesn't recieve text messages

The subject line says it all. I got a brand-new Motorola RAZR for my birthday, and it's locked to the Fido network. It's on a plan and it works fine, but text messages that are sent to me never appear in my inbox. I can send the text messages just fine, but the phone fails to recieve text messages. I hacked the phone to download games and a skin for free, but I haven't fiddled around with the firmware so I doubt that this is the problem. I already called Fido Tech Support, but their solution does not fix the problem. Any of you experience the same thing and know the remedy?

wouldja, couldja, shouldja....

I thought maybe everyone could have a little chuckle at how utterly pathetic my vernacular is. I actually speak like this if I don't make a conscious effort and sometimes even then it can't be stopped.

F*ck me this is lame, I hate having this sh*t pointed out to me. »

French Acadian accent

This speech stems from the influence of Acadian settlers residing in French communities throughout Cape Breton, resulting in many loanwords.

Some characteristics:

Voiced th, as in "that", is usually replaced by a d sound, and voiceless th, as in "thin," is usually replaced by a t sound. For example, "three" can be pronounced as tree and "that" as dat. This can be seen in
