LTE in Canada

I wonder which Canadian wireless carrier will be the first to launch LTE in place of their current wireless network. I say Bell Canada will be the first kid on the block.

Rogers, Telus, Bell Canada

Are there any other carriers up in Canada besides these three?

Rogers uses GSM and the other two use CDMA, but there has to be more than just one GSM carrier?

Rogers Wireless isn't getting RIM's Blackberry Storm

This was truly sad to hear Rogers Wireless will not be getting RIM's Blackberry Storm this holiday season. I wonder who from RIM crapped in Ted Rogers holiday stocking? I hope someone crams a piece of coal between Ted's butt cheeks. Maybe a diamond would fall out.

IC902 Wont work in Canada

I bought a new Sprint/Nextel Motorola IC902 from a Sprint store in Florida with intentions of activating it on the Telus network here. Telus says they can't activate it. Whats the deal. It is 800 IDEN compatible (Mike and Nextel) as well as 1900 CDMA. I think they just want me to buy one of their phones. What do I do now.

911 Emergency Use Only.

I'm looking for advice from all you seasoned cell phone users, I've never owned a cell phone and I'm interested in buying one for emergency 911 use only, no contracts or the usual activation procedures, I've been told a basic cell phone can be used to reach 911, and the 911 operators agree to calling a roadside service such as BCAA. do you think the Samsung SCH-U410 would be a good choice for this ? the phone would only be used for emergencies.

Thanks in advance.

Over exaggeration of the weather.

So this snow storm that we've been hearing about all week finally shows up today in Toronto. After all the bright red weather warnings and the 24 hour news updates on TV I was expecting something of biblical proportions. Its a major disappointment, we only got about a foot (30cm) of the fluff. I'm sick of the TV stations getting everybody into a panic and over exaggerating the weather. ITS NOT THAT BAD!!! We do live in Canada and WE DO GET SNOW!!! Big surprise eh?
