new htc sense / gingerbread

So i have a rooted htc thunderbolt, I just found a custom rom called thunderstick verison 1.2.9, This has the new htc sense set up which is much improved from 2.0, The lock screen is awsome, and the drop down allows for more on the fly changes like turning on wifi, or turing off mobile network. The rom is made with android 2.3 gingerbread, the phone runs much smoother and i can glide through apps and screens. MY favorite part about this ROM besides being the only gingerbread working rom, it allows netflx to work. Thank you for the awsome rom and the hard work.

new android apps only for specific phones?

Im just curious if anyone has a legit answer for why the new apps only release for specific device. I know that their are many different versions of android, but why would it not be across the board for all phones on a specific type of android. like when they came out with netflix for the incredible which runs 2.2 and the other on the list run 2.3, why would other phone that run 2.2 or 2.3 not be able to run netflix since linux is open source why would it not work across all the phones on the same android version. I also realize they are all alittle bit different but the software verison beig the same should work. why not?

Apple Quick time question

I have a client that uses quick time on his home computer. He also uses a helmet cam to record when he is riding his motorcycle. Then he pulls the SD card from the helmet cam and uploads it to his home PC using quick time.
He would like to be able to view these videos and what not on a BB Curve 2.
I have searched and found that quick time is an apple software, so I am assuming there is no way to download quick time to a Blackberry.
Does anyone know of a similar software to quicktime that would work on the Verizon Wireless Blackberry Curve 2??

Thanks for your help!

Will anyone start utilizing the accelerometer on the impression?

I've had the phone for a couple of months now and have been very disappointed with it. There aren't any good games, software, or anything. Even on media mall where you need to pay for them. The only things I've found that the accelerometer works with is the stuff already on the phone (ie dice, rotating pictures, or the screen).

Does anyone know if, when, or where I could get anything for this phone. You think for the price there would be something.

Also, with my old sony ericsson w580i, most of the apps were free and just required the internet to use (one example being music id). Now with the impression I got a "sweet" trial that was over before I had even really used it.

Also, what's up with the GPS costing money! Is there any way ...

Wow, check this out, turns Iphone into a credit card reader. . .

I wouldn't use my credit/debit card with a merchant that uses this though cause theres a stupid surcharge, there are way, way too many merchants out there that don't have a surcharge.
Anyway, check it out:
