I try to connect to phonescoop.com on my Audiovox SMT 5600 (type in www.phonescoop.com) and seem to always get redirected to the WAP version (http://phonescoop.com/wml/index.php is what shows up in the address bar). This only lets me view a very scaled-down version of "Latest News" and "Latest Phones". I would like to be able to pull up the "full-blown" site. Is there a way to stop the phone from re-directing?

I HAD a similar problem with Yahoo...I would type in www.yahoo.com, and it redirected me to "wap.oa.yahoo.com/?fr=FP-redirect". From playing around with this, I found that I can get to the Yahoo site by entering "www.yahoo.com/?mobile". This will get me the "full-blown" version of the site.

I changed my view options in forums to get the postings to display in chronologocal order, but I can't seem to get the User Review section to list the losts in chronological order. I will have one post from July with another directly below from June and then another on the following page from July again.

Any advice?

Just thought I would let you know....If you pick "verizon wireless required" then pick "coming soon required" then pick "flip required" it says nothing found. But when you pick the same first two and don't pick "flip required" it comes up with 4 flip phones. Go figure ....just a heads up. 😎

We've just added Hearing-Aid Compatibility (HAC) information to the phone spec database. It's listed under "Features" for now, and in the Extended mode of the Phone Finder, you can search on it, even down to the various specific ratings.

It's something we would have loved to do long ago, but it's only recently that an official rating system was finalized. And now that the FCC is officially granting HAC status to specific phones, it's something we can display in an organized, meaningful way.

We also added PictBridge compatibility recently, BTW.

Anyway, just wanted to make people aware, as it's something people have been asking for.

I've been working on the glossary lately, and wanted to announce a few things:

1. Many terms are now actively cross-referenced. Whereas before some terms ended with "See: (some other term)" in plain text, now those are all links, so you can just click and explore the glossary much more easily. This is something I meant to do years ago... 🤭 but anyway, it's done now.

2. There is now a direct link at the bottom of every definition to submit feedback on that specific entry.

I just added this a few days ago, and already I've been getting tons of great feedback. (Thanks! 🙂 ) But I could always use more. I'd really like to make the glossary a world-class resource for understanding this crazy industry, so any and all feedback is ver...
