ALLTEL TO STOP SELLING KRZR??!!!!

I HEARD TODAY THAT ALLTEL WILL STOP SELLING THE KRZR AS OF 12/22/2006! HAS ANYONE ELSE HEARD THIS AND DO THEY KNOW WHY. THEY WONT SAY!!!!!

Haven't heard that. I don't know why they would discontinue it. They only reason they might is if there was a bug/recall type of thing. If that is the case and they pull it it will only be temporarily.

as of today my wife was told she could not get the krzr to upgrade to. they were pulling it off the shelves but would not say why.

I'm looking to find a phone that had more Bluetooth profiles and better MP3 support than the Samsung u520 I've been using for a week; it's otherwise a really nice phone.

So I went to a local Alltel retail store and called their customer service today. Both places claimed they stopped selling the KRZR due to "software problems," but they thought they'd return when when Motorola fixed the "problems."

They still had a KRZR on the shelf so I could mess with it. The KRZR had the best Bluetooth support of all the phones I tested (File Transfer and OBEX profiles supported; I don't care about headsets), but the RAZR was close behind. Heck, the Alltel Treo 650 even made Palm cripple the BT on it (no file transfers).

I just don't understa...

Alltel pulled the krzr as of 12/22 because of after three software upgrades the phone just seemed to get more and more problems... Now with 13 known issues... There is rumors of verizon pull there's to it should be back on shelfs with in a month...

USCC's Krzr has had no problems as far as I know. I've only sold a few dozen since they came out (1 month ago in a very small town), however I have heard no complaints or had no warnings from others about this phone. I will admit that new phones from Moto seem to be prone to glitchyness!
