my nokia 6255i just broke and i was wondering if i should wait a month or two for a new phone to come out, or just buy one now.

I'm just wondering cause i bought the 6255i and the next week alltel came out the razr.

I don't know exactly every phone Alltel has, however, don't think they have anything besides the Kyocera Slider or moto 815 that has the features of that phone. The Moto Razr V3m will be the closest to your current phone. Borrow a friends phone and tough it out until November.

Or just get one from Nokia directly, or eBay. The 6255 rocks. The E815 is good, but other than EVDO...I'm not sure it's worth it imo.

The 815 is a pretty smoking deal for a very solid phone. I don't think you will see anything new and exciting in the next month or so but end of 4Q is supposed to be whem there will be some nice new stuff coming out.

I agree, get one off of ebay, but that wasn't the question he was asking. I have a 6255 with USCC and I love it. It is a bit quirky though. Does not like to do calls when too many wireless networks are around. I think the infrared/bluetooth stuff overloads the phone. Just my personal opinion.

Err...I hate that phone...lol.

I've yet to find a Nokia flip phone that isn't riddled with technical issues. The car phones are good though. Haven't seen much about their sliders.

Anyway the Motorola E815 is the best phone they sell. Next would be the RAZR. I personally think they will have the CDMA version of SLVR by Christmas, but I don't know that for sure.

Nothing against the 6255 BennyBoy, but that phone has had many more techincal/quality problems then any Nokia phone I've ever heard of.

yes, the 6255i might have had the shortest shelf-life of any Alltel handset, next to the Slider-Remix
