Phone Insurance

I just recently had a mishap with my phone, it still works, but the insurance should replace it. Does alltel give you the same phone back or can you pick between those of similar price?
Thanks.

My question is rather similar, I have insurance as well, can I trade my V710 in for a phone of equal or lesser value?

It's common sense people. What do you think? Let's say that you are like me, and you bought the 710 from verizon when it was $300. Do you think that they would give you $300 credit for a new phone? no. This is the same for "trading up" to a newer phone. Let's say that the 710 is going for $70 (just some random figure) do you think that they would allow you to get a e815 that sells for the same price for free? Nope.

You payed to insure your phone, and that is what they will replace it with. If they don't have any more V710s left, then they will give you a phone that is smiler. Also, if you are not sure, why not call VZW yourself. its *611 from your phone (not sure what it is for altell, but I'm sure it's smiler) you posted this today at 6:...

I appologize for asking a common sense question. I was just wanting to hear from folks who may have had an experience where they did get to upgrade a phone or change if their phone that was damaged was not that great to start with.

What I did like is how you brought up Verizon Wireless, when the question was most definitely for ALLTEL! Talk about common sense! I am sorry that we insulted your intelligence by asking a question that you already knew the answer. But, if your response here is anything like what you deal out on the job no wonder people would rather post a question than to come in to your dealership and ask you.

I agree, we ask about Alltel and he blurbs about Verizon. Why would Alltel not trade in current phones for phones deemed of equal or lesser value.

The reason why I didn't say anything about Altel is because I use Verizon, so why would I talk about something I don't know? If you want me to talk about Altel specifically, I can make a few things up if that makes you happy, but I like live in reality.

I was talking about Verizon, because I'm sure that Altel has similar methods for dealing with things like this.

Read the post for what it's worth, not so you think you can sound smart (only I can do that) 😛

Why would you be in the Alltel forum talking about Vzw? Wrong forum buddy!

Did you pay any attention to my post? I was posting what I KNOW about Verizon, because I'm sure that Alltel is comparable. This person needs to be set straight. It's that simple. I don't know why you people don't understand that the two situations are similar, it's comaring apples to apples here, they are both Cellular providers, and have insurance for there phones. Simple enough right? If you honestly don't understand the comparison, then you aren't smart enough to own a computer. Hate to be blunt about it, but you're missing the forest for the trees (or however the expression goes)

I can answer this. I work for alltel and the insurance company that we use will replace your phone with the same model. If we no longer carry that phone then there is a list of phones that have the same features. They try to same within the same family of phones however this isnt alway possible. The insurance company will be able to explain further and possible tell you what is on the matrix for your replacement. I hope this helps. 😁
