Okay.... granted I know nothing of Alltel service or Cricket as we do not carry them here in the west area, but we do have SureWest wireless, which is that unlimited local/long distance, we also have Metro PCS. What I've found with all the unlimited min carriers we have out here that it is nice to know exactly what your bill is, and you don't have to worry about going over, but you hit A LOT of no service areas, have A LOT of dropped calls, and don't get text or voice mail alerts in a timely manner. On the plus side though, all my friends that had those services never had any equipment issues either...

I don't know which plan you have but the last promo was 1000 Local Minutes with Unlimited Night/Weekends & Unlimited Mobile to Mobile for 39.95. They have a new promo out with 1300 Local Minutes with Unlimited Night/Weekends & Unlimited Mobile to Mobile for 49.95, maybe thats the way you should go. But I really do think come May 24th if I can port my number I'm going with Verizon, I just can't deal with Alltel anymore.

If you go over your minutes with alltel you will go over your minutes with any provider. In your situation you are just on the wrong plan. YOu need to express your concerns with your provider and have them find the right plan for you. Working in the wireless industry I have found that customers on plans that dont fit their needs is as common as colds in the winter.
