Alltel buys out Western Wireless, RIGHT?
This evening I have seen 3 commercials for Cellular One. This is on the local CBS affiliate.

Alltel bought out Western Wireless which does operate under the Cellular One brand name but Alltel did not buy the name and Cell one still has a network that is GSM owned by a company called Dobson Systems. Basically Cellular One will still exist and I hope that answers your question;)

That's out of Texas and I'm in ND. I believe it was a local sponsor slotted commercial.
So far when I go to the Alltel site and give them a zip for "store locator", it gives me nothing. So this changeover is going to come slowly, I think.

Yes it is a slow transition. I know At&t was bigger but they are still doing the transition there and that finalized around the first of the year. Let me know when you can migrate or whatever you need to do.
