Third Party ringtones
So when Verizon takes over will we be able to use third party or our own created ringtones?
I just got an account for the first time and was looking to make my own ringtone and just found out that Alltel will not let you use your own created or a third party ringtone.Unlike most all other service providers out there. 😡

Tell us what providers do allow it?
Depending on what phone you have, there are ways personal ringers can be used - but you 1) probably void your warranty and 2)risk bricking your phone if you don't know what you're doing.
If personal ring tones are that important to you - get a Blackberry - you can use any mp3 as a ringer on those...at least for now 🙂
