Alltel advertises in my area all the time but yet they do not offer service her. I just dont get it. I live in Anniston Al and they dont even offer it in Birmingham either but I see them on my local channels all the time. I would use them if I could, I think CDMA is better than GSM but I am with ATT cause I hate Verizon and they are the only CDMA that I can get.

Where are you seeing these ads? On local TV stations during local programming, or are they ads on national cable channels?

probably the same reason I see ATT and nextel add's in my town, yet there is no service here, the company's run adds nationwide, It would probably be a headache and expensive to pick and choose every market you have service in

WOW are you one of the CEO's of fanny mae or freddy mac 🙄 that is the most stupid statement I have read in a long time. You think it is cheaper to advertise everywhere than in an area where you actual customers live. Maybe you should run for President 🙄

Stephen I think your missing what he is talking about. Yes if Alltel picked and choose all the service areas and bought advertisement in them all locally for television it would be far more expensive then buying one spot to run nationally. I would be very carefull insulting people. It just makes you look stupid

It can actually be more expensive to do targeted advertising. So Alltel purchases advertising in blanketed segments and saves money proportionately compared to targeted advertising.

Bear in mind too that they are targeting everyone, even people who don't have Alltel service nearby. Their goal is to develop their brand.
