Which phone do you suggest?

I currently have the Touch but the speaker seems to be going out and I am considering just getting a different phone because TXT is sort of more difficult on the Touch IMO.

Anyway I am looking at the BlackBerry Curve, Q9C, or the LG Glimmer. Which one would you suggest? Or is their another phone that you would suggest other than those. I use the Internet alot on my phone so I am wondering if the Glimmers web isnt the best and if Windows-Based is alot better than the BlackBerry browser? Also, on the Curve is their picture/video messaging???

Thanks for all the help!

No Glimmer, that is just a regular mobile WAP. The Q9c, to me is just a spiced up regular Q not worth the extra, but if it's your thing go for it. I would go with the Curve. As far as pic/vid, i don't think it does work but I could be wrong. i'm sure you send them via email.

Go with the CUrve better phone then anything else HANDS DOWN. Picture messaging works fine... there is still some hold up on the video messaging I believe it will send just not receive. Hope that helps and good luck!

Blackberry is going to do better for signal and durability. Blackberry is going to come out with a patch like HTC did when the HTC phones couldnt do video messaging. If Video is something you cant do without then go with one of the HTC phones. The HTC 6900 (touch) is an ok phone but battery life SUCKS and the HTC 6800 is ok as well however seems to be pretty bulky and heavy. Hope that helps,

yeah, I agree the battery life is terrible, thats what I currently have and am having troubles with... I used the 6800 for several days and I didnt like it cause it was like a brick.. so basically all my choices are is the Curve and the Moto Q9C. Is there anything new coming for the smartphones. Although, Im not sure I want to hold out for more than a month because the speaker is going bad on my Touch and it is irritating.

When do you expect to see a patch like this to be available for the Blackberry?

Honestly I dont see the patch coming out to fix the MMS issues with the pearl or the Video stuff on the curve till February or March of 2009 When Verizon migrates everything over to their system. Just a guess though...

If I were to just buy a Blackberry Curve straight out without a contract, would I have to add anything to my plan or change anything? Like adding the Blackberry Data Plan? Thanks for all the help guys!

You can buy a blackberry outright however in order for it to function as a phone you would need the data feature for 44.95 or the smartchoice plan... Any other smartphone you cna buy outright without the data features...

Hope that helps!
