Non Flip Phones

I wish Alltel had more non flip phones! I am getting kind of tired of having a flip phone but Alltel doesnt have any phones except smart phones that are not a flip phone! When if ever are they going to get some! Probably never

they had the kyrocia slider and I was happy to not have a flip phone but that lasted about a day!

I thought there was the Samsung Wafer! That's the only phone I see shown that isn't a flip phone. The reality is that overall, Americans wants flip phones, and that's what the manufacturers are making. Most of Asia prefers flip phones over candybar style phones. Europe prefers the candybar style, though they have flip phones over there too. To the OP; if you want a candybar style phone so bad, then you're gonna have to shop EBay or another site for an older E911 compliant candybar style phone. yeah right now its the wafer. They had a kyrocera slider called remix. Been discontinued. But it was nice. I like a flip phone as it protects the screen!

Well to make you happy Alltel is putting out a candy bar phone the r200 by samsung.

Hey, folks, there is also the Samsung u420, a slider phone. For the bruisers, the Kyocera K12 has been a steady seller, but it's still a Kyocera. Need I say more?

Ditto to the comments about most people wanting flip phones. What is sold really is customer driven, not decided independently by the company.

When I came to work for Alltel this past April, I was absolutely shocked that Nokias worked as well on Alltel service as they did. Nokia and Verizon, the largest CDMA provider, together, was generally like oil and water...just didn't get it done for the most part, even though you couldn't completely blame Nokia for what Verizon did to the phones they took on their service.
