Problem with Razr V3A

I just bought the Razr V3A from Alltel yesterday and I think it may already have a problem. After adding a few contacts, the phone cut off and come back on. This has happened a few times but I wasn't sure if it was updating itself(I'm clueless about cell phones)or just a bad phone. When it turns off and on, it acts like when you *228. Thanks for any input!

There is nothing wrong with Motos. They are fine. They have lemons like every other carrier. They are just more popular so you hear about it more.

OP- Take the RAZR back and ask for a brand new one. Not refurb.

sorry I disagree. 90% of the people I know that got them have issues. And lemon means its the same issue. They all have differatn issues. From the sd card to it restartin gfor no reason to not ringing. They suck. And it is my opionion. Now the GSM version has allot less issues. My friends on cingular have little to none. But all mine on CDMA has tons!

I called Alltel tech support and according to them it was a "glitch" in the programing on most of the Razr's. I was told to go to an Alltel store and they could hook it up to a computer and fix the problem. We'll see......

If that is the case I think its pretty Sh**ty that they would let you walk out the store without the update since you just bought it. Unless of course the update came out like yesterday!

This must be a very common problem because I have gone thru a replacement phone & now they're having me take the phone to a retail store to have it get flashed. If anyone has had the flashing of the phone work, Let me know. It'd be greatly appericiated!

And for rb8gators I wish you the best of luck on your phone, Keep posted with it so others know 🙂
