Called Alltel today about new phones
I called Alltel today and asked them if any new phones would be coming out in the next few months and the lady told me that they are having a meeting tonight (7-11-07) about new phones. She asked me what I was looking for and I told her that I needed a tough phone not a phone named after a cookie or a pink one or one that cost $500, just a straight up tough phone with a good speaker and maybe mil spec standards thats made for the abuse a working man would put it through.
So lets see what we get, maybe another junk Kyocera!!

I work for Alltel in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia at a company store.
So far, we've seen a scaled down RAZR (V3a, no memory chip slot, no EVDO capability, basically a V3c in black, and no more V3m's at all!), the Hue, and an LG 145 come through the chute. It's my understanding that until the lawsuit between Qualcomm and Broadcom is done, we won't be seeing the host of new phones we would normally see at this time of the year UNLESS they are already in the release pipeline. This could have a huge impact on holiday sales, as phones are issued about now to familiarize the public with their availability. This lawsuit affects ALL CDMA providers, by the way, not just us. Personally, I want to see the RAZR2 come through, but I might no...
