6800 was actually not originally intended for sprint, it was intended for verizon. and ndragisic is partly correct about alltel when it comes to phones. alltel in the past has waited till other carriers market and test phones prior to releasing them. in my opinion its a smart move. Alltel now is starting to get allthe new phones about at the same time. also samsung has made a couple of phones specificaly for alltel. Back to the 6800, Alltel is releasing it during July, latest early august. the utstarcom ppc 6700 was discontinued by alltel a couple of months ago due the 6800 was already in the plans. Inside source from alltel stated. just waiting on notification of release date

I can't wait for it to come out i am going to be in to get one the day they are released, I am going to file insurance clame the day the hit stores, mine has a nasty crack in the screen. and the 6800 is the only one that offeres wifi that alltel sells, so that is my replacement. not sure if i can post this but over at ppcgeeks.com there is a forum for the 6800 if you wanna c somemore pics and the things they are doing with these phones..
