Forbes story 9/13/04

I'm not yet a T-Mobile customer, but this is the kind of thing that helps me decide in their favor. I hear a lot of horror stories, for instance, about Cingular and their billing mistakes. It's good to know that, overall, T-Mobile customers are pleased with what their service.

Can I get feedback on the survey, i.e., is 21,700 households enough of a sampling to be accurate? Maybe share your own experiences with the six factors: call performance and reliability, customer service, service-plan options, brand image, cost of service, and billing accuracy and understandability.

Thanks in advanc...

Boosting Signal

Hey, I was wondering if anyone can help me out.

I am a NEW T-Mobile customer -- but I am having a problem getting reception in my house. Right now--I must be NEAR a window to get a good signal.

Are there any tips on boosting the signal oor specific models that grab a better signal than others?

Thanks

is it me or tmo=best phones

it is me or does t-mo have the best phones. I mean ATTWS has 3 flipphones, that arent really appealing, only in price. Cingular carries cheap LG and those types of phones. Verizon.. forget them: LG and Audivox.. please[sarcastic].
The only carrier other than tmo that has decent phones is Sprint, those sanyo ptt phones look really appealing. And then there is nextel, they have okay phones, but they are outdated. Please post and share your carrier+phone interests.

International Roaming Question

Assume you are roaming in the UK with a T-Mobile phone. Besides the 99c/minute roaming charges, what other charges do you incur?

For example, do you incur a long distance charge when someone calls you in the UK from a US landline? If so, how much are the per minute charges?

Any t-Mobile reps to help. Thanks.

How's service now in Grover Beach/SLO County, CA.

Hi All! Would like to see if there are any T-Mobile user's in the Grover Beach-Arroyo Grande area of San Luis Obispo County, California. My Aunt lives there and is currently using Verizon. Her contract is up in a month, and basically has had good service, but does have issues with dropped calls, etc. Would like to hear the pro's & con's of T-Mobile service in that area...particularily if you as a user have had Verizon as well. I know I've asked this question 6-month's/a year ago, but want to see how the service is now...particularily since she's due to renew. Just trying to help her out! I appreciate any feedback! Thanks in advance!! 🙂

Can T-Mobile customers use Cingular/Att towers in their home area?

I know that they are all GSM, but a T-Mobile agent told me that their phones "use the same towers as Cingular" when I expressed concern about hearing rumors that T-Mobile's reception/coverage is not all that great. I know that if you are out of your service area that phones would roam on other carriers systems, but what about if you are in the middle of a big city with T-Mobile coverage and just happen to be in a pocket with no T-Mobile signal? Will the T-Mobile phone connect to a Cingular tower in this case?.....or just simply have no reception period? I would think that it won't use Cingular's tower if the area is "supposed to be" covered by T-Mobile.

I would appreciate some info on this.

Thanks in Advance,
rodybmw

T-Mobiile in Seattle area?

I am trying to decide what company to sign with. I currently have AT&T and they are horrible in every way (no surprise). I am thinking about T-Mobile and would like to hear any comments, commendations, complaints, etc. I am especially interested in reception if you live in Seattle area. Please let me know what phone you have too.
Thanks!

NOKIA OR NOTHING

I have used every brand of phone known to man with every company except verizon because they dont offer service here but no one compares to Nokia, I dont care the company, model of phone, region or otherwise...Nokia, Nokia, Nokia. Sometimes we compare apples to apples, sometimes apples and oranges but comparing Nokia to any other phone is comparing fresh lobster tails from the maine harbor to greasy van de camps fish sticks...THERE IS NO COMPARISON

Carrier Website vs. The Other Guys

Hi all, I'm new to this wireless game, and I'd like some feedback. I'm wondering what the advantage is to using a "authorized (name your carrier) dealer" such as the companies who are advertising on this site (Wirefly, A-1 Wireless, LetsTalk.com, even Amazon.com) over just going to the carrier's website for deals.

Example, would there be a better deal to be had with these advertisers than there would be at T-Mobile's website? And if I don't go through T-Mobile and use, say, SimplyWireless.com, I'm thinking there has to be a surcharge of some kind on the services or the products or else they wouldn't profit from carrying them. Am I right?

I guess I'm looking for testimony from people who have either bought their services/phones from eit...
