vx6000 reception

I recently purchased two vx6000 phones to replace my 2235 kyocera phones. I am very surprised with my the reception. With the kyocera I had no problem with calls even with 1 bar of signal. Now even with 2-4 bars I notice my calls sound garbled like I'm underwater on both phones. Is it because it is not tri-mode like the kyocera? HELP I only have 7 more days for my return. Will the new Samsung be tri-mode with or without a camera???

Looking for new VZ phone

My one criteria: I've had very bad experiences with flip phones. So I want a non-flip. Also I'm not really interested in using the web, a camera-phone, any of that stuff. I just a nice phone with a color screen, good reception, and the ability to download cool ringtones of my favorite songs. It seems like my top 2 options are the Nokia 3589i and the Kyocera KX-414.

Any advice?

I live and work in New York City and will be using the phone almost exclusively in Lower Manhattan, and also North and Central Jersey.

Question Regarding Roaming

Question for you folks. I recently took delivery of an LG VX6000...and I was wondering how to set a system spec. Under the System tab, it says you can set the network to "Home", "A" or "B". I'm assuming "Home" refers to just the Verizon network? At least that's how my Sprint phone worked...where it would only work on the Sprint network. Let me know, folks!

Anything about the SE T608/606

I remember reading about these phones a LONG time ago and then it died. It looks as if the T608 is back, but I'm wondering if anything about either of these is coming to Verizon?

Thanks.

Verizon Phone with best low end reception

I am going to be switching to Verizon in a short while and am researching which phone will get the best reception in areas with bad reception. I currently have Sprint with a Sanyo SCP4900 and get great reception in bad areas. Any suggestions??

CDMA or GSM, HELP!

Hi All!
I am a current Verizon user in the S.F.-Bay area, and have excellent service with them for 4 years now. But I have been intrigued for a long time with GSM service and the phones connected with it. I need peoples input and opinions here. Is GSM better than CDMA and why? I heard the voice quality is better, but is it by much? A year or two ago, I heard GSM was terrible here(as far as signal strength, dropped calls, etc)...has it improved? From what I've seen on the maps and from what co-workers and friends say, it is yes. Now if I decide to go GSM's way, I've decided to go with either AT&T or Cingular, because they have the upcoming 850 frequency besides the already existing 1900. T-Mobile only has 1900 from what I've seen.
So betwe...

Replacement Policy

My ST finally gave up the ghost. What's Verizon's replacement policy...the ST is obviously out of production and they don't carry referbs anymore. What phone will they likely try to fix me up with? I have insurance, if that matters. Thanks in advance.

Sanyo SCP-5500 / VM4500

This is the phone I've been waiting for, it has every feature I desire, Camera, PTT, speakerphone, high speed data, now all I need to know is if/when VzW will support.

Have you seen the reviews on the forum?http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/user_r eviews.php?id=400

Does anyone know if this is on the horizon for verizon? I tried to find a MIM link for it, I had no luck at guessing URL, since VzW doesn't offer any/many Sanyo phones.

Why does VzW keep screwing around, they should work on bringing the best technology to us as quickly as possible. Sprint always has the latest / greatest available, VzW is always slow bringing new phones to market ...
