3G w/ CellularOne(Dobson)by AT&T calling plan

Does anyone know if it is possible to get 3G service with an old CellularOne(Dobson) Data Plan? I am thinking of just popping my CellularOne SIM card in a 3G phone. Our area will be AT&T 3G very soon.

Thanks!

Question about WAP/MMS settings

I've looked everywhere to no avail for these settings on my moto z8, I bought it off of ebay unlocked, and can't get it to work. I tried to use the settings from the a1200, but they're completely different.

MNC Changed?

Here in my part of Michigan, the MNC has now changed from 310-680 to 310-410. Anybody else have similar experiences yet?

Divested Customers

Greetings all! I hope everyone is excited about December 9th....I know I am.

Since the divested market for DCellOne here in Texas....is close to my locations, any word who those people will be sold off too?

Will it be another GSM carrier, or will it be Alltel who benefited form the old ATT Wireless divestures in 2005?

Two (ok 3) Questions on CellularOne(Dobson) by AT&T

1) According to CustomerCare, I can no longer renew my current cellularone contract (this as of April 1st?). Is this true? I just want to renew (and keep my wonderful cellone for a couple more years), not a new phone.

2)I know it can be done, but is it contractully legal undener the terms of the consumer blackberry unlimited plan ($45) to use your blackberry as a modem for your computer?

A third question if anyone is in the know...god forbid I loose my CellOne SIM card. Can you buy an extra Cellularone/Dobson SIM card to keep around just in case?

Thanks!

Center partners

Center partners in my opinion has ruined my career here at Cellular One. 4 calls graded instead of the 6 that should have been. A 94.5% which is .5% below the required got me written up. This in turn cost me my chance at a promotion which i very much deserved. I put up with and accepted being looked over for people of less quality and knowledge for 2 years. Senn the spot opened and closed more times do to poor choice. I finally do EVERYTHING they ask me to. Even coming to work with the best attitude when others above and below me grumbled and moaned. Center [partners in their infinate wisdom only looked at my care calls. They also chose call that were not either short or very long. So they get to chose what calls they listen to bas...

Legacy Dobson

I've never seen a more callous leadership than LD. Honestly I've never seen a bunch so happy to make its employees unhappy or even fire those employees. I would think company leaders would like a stable seasoned group to work with instead of a McDonalds revolving door employee base. Now i'm not saying all the leadership is bad but I'd say more than half act this way. Just because your given power does not mean you should lord it over others and act like the Almighty. There is only one God and he definately does not work for LD. This used to be such a great place to work not i see it dying, like wasted grapes on the vine. Its sad to hear so many people dread coming to this place, like its a death sentence. I know there is alot of conf...

Getting Used CellularOne(Dobson) Blackberry 8300

Hi!

I'm getting a used CellularOne(Dobson) Blackberry 8300 soon and was wondering what exactly are the steps to start using it on the network. I know I need to sign up for the Blackberry Consumer package but is there anything beyond that I need to do? I currently have Cellular One with Signalink and am using a w300i.

Thanks!

Bad News : (

I just found out that my dealership is closing down. ☚ī¸ We have two locations. One is a store and the other is a kiosk. They are about 30 miles apart. Monday, I found out that the store was closing. The lease is up at the end of March and our sales suck. They have sucked for a while and declined a lot more when AT&T took over Cellular One. However, our kiosk was going to remain open and with the money we saved from rent, electric and other bills from the store closure, we were eventually going to open a store in place of the kiosk.

However, that is no longer the case. I was just informed by my boss that as of the second week of March, we will be closing all locations. Apparently, AT&T came in yesterday to get him to sign a new AT&T deal...

LG CU500 on Cellular One

Can anyone tell me if an LG CU500 can be used on Cellular One?

I have tried 2 of them now, purchased from eBay. Both were Cingular phones advertised to be "unlocked". The 1st one, a new phone, just came up with "Network unavailable" when I tried to make a call. The SIM card was from a RAZR I was using on Cellular One. The 2nd one, a used phone, with the same SIM card, actually displaed "Cellular One" on the screen after I enabled wireless on it, but it also displayed "Network unavailable" when I tried to place a call. The screen also no longer displayed "Cellular One". Now the SIM card doesn't even work in the RAZR. It does not display any signal strength bars or "Cellular One" when I power it on and it goes through a "searching fo...

CellularOne (now AT&T) keeping cheap users on old legacy system.

I spoke with a Supervisor today regarding why I couldn't buy myself a AT&T Blackberry and use it on the network since CellularOne has switched over to AT&T. The Supervisor says that those CellularOne customers who are on special plans through CellularOne ($50 or $99.95 unlimited plans) can't upgrade (not even buy their own phone)and use it on the AT&T network because AT&T is keeping CellularOne user's on their OLD LEGACY system. AT&T hopes that by not allowing CellularOne customers to upgrade their phones will result in them leaving their cheap plans and coming over to more expensive AT&T plans. If your SIM card goes bad your out of luck, as AT&T will not supply you with a new sim card. You will be forced to switch over to AT&T when this ...

Need help on this Blackberry Pearl 8100

Ok, I had preformed a "wipe" as its called and got the phone back to original settings. I did the set up wizard and I still cant make or receive calls. It says "data connection refused". What do I need to make this thing work? Do I need wireless access on my computers? Do I need to call cell one and have them turn something on? Do I need a specific plan! I really need help. Id like to be able to use the phone for my hotmail email account and use the browser and make calls and do all the things it can do. Please someone help me get in the right direction.
