Is the service really good? Honest answers only pls

Looking around for a service provider. Metro seems pretty cheap, but i don't know, the whole unlimited calling things for $40 sounds fishy. If everyone yaps as much as they can, doesnt that overload the towers, at least at peak hours?

How reliable is the service, honestly?

soda pop mail w/gmail?

Hi, I have bought and installed the soda pop mail client on my nokia 6255i. It works fine with hotmail but I can't get it to work with gmail. There is no gmail server type listed, so I had to use generic pop server type, and the client is never able to connect to the pop server, even when I can do so from my computer to the gmail pop server just fine. I suspect the issue may be the special security options that gmail requires on the connection.
Has anyone else had this problem or gotten soda pop mail on metro to work?

BTW, soda pop mail does seem cool, by the admittedly modest standards of metropcs brew applications. I am able to send a receive full emails from my handheld.
Cheers, Andy

metropcs service in orlando/lakeland area

On 27 October 2005 Metropcs.com posted 8 job listings for the Orlando/Lakeland area. When looking over past job listings for the Tampa area, I'd say you are still another 6 months minimum before start of Metropcs service in Orlando/Lakeland. Still not too bad, the Tampa/St. Petersburg/Sarasota market is doing well, and the service adjoins with the southwest and southeast Florida coverage.

no roaming service in atlanta with nokia 6255i

I have a Nokia 6255i with MetroPCS that I purchased about 3 months ago. My home coverage area is south Florida from Port Charlotte to Marco Island on the west coast, from Key West to Vero Beach on the east coast.

Yesterday I was passing thru Atlanta Hartsfield airport and my phone was set to "Automatic Roaming" rather than MetroPCS only. The Nokia 6255i determined that there was a MetroPCS service site available and synced with it. Lo and behold when I tried to make a call it was disconnected 2 seconds after I pressed SEND.

It seems that if you are out of your home coverage area (Atlanta/Athens, San Francisco/Sacramento, South Florida) and in another MetroPCS area, your phone will NOT work even when attempting roaming.

The software ...

expanded metropcs coverage in florida east coast

MetroPCS now has authorized dealers in Martin (Stuart), St Lucie (Fort Pierce) and Indian River (Vero Beach) counties on the Florida east coast. Coverage of MetroPCS now extends from Jupiter to Sebastian.

I look forward to Tampa/St. Petersburg/Sarasota being operational by this September. It does remind me of the days of Primeco slowly increasing their coverage of Florida.

6255 bluetooth headset recommendations anyone?

Hi..I have this phone (the nokia 6255) and am ready to buy a bluetooth headset. With so many on the market, can anyone make any recommendations based on having this phone and using a certain headset. I've always heard horror stories about paring issues between certain phones and certain headsets, so I am trying to avoid that. Thanks in advance.
