How can I change the MSL of a Sprint 8910 phone without service to work on MetroPCS. I have heard this work on Cricket, but will it work on Metro?

Hello! I have a few q's about the new beautiful addition to MetroPCS's lineup. Hopefully someone from MetroPCS or a new owner of this phone can answer.

1. Most critical question - can the phone be charged (with car charger OR house charger) while being used?
[This may seem like a silly question but I've been SUFFERING with my Kyocera Slider since day 1...for 2.5 years - the battery is DRAINED when talking on the phone even when it's plugged to the A/C charger.]

2. Can I upload some custom-made MP3's from my PC to the phone (via bluetooth/USB) and then assign different MP3's as ringtones for different people? So when Dad calls, it'll say in his voice "hello son", when friend calls it'll say "WASSUPPPP" etc? Possible? My worry is that ...

🙂 Yea, so I've just recently purchased a Nokia 6255i, got it off of ebay for less than half of the retail price... So happy, although like people said, the design is a bit loose and not as sturdy as my v266..

Anyway, I'm thinking about purchasing a Kingston MMC 1 GB and a DKU-2 USB Cable to compliment my phone..

Would those be good, or would others do better?

ok so as a complete newbie i opted for the razr.

I was able to text.

I was told at METRO PCS that yahoo picture e-mails dont work (when i e-mailed the messages were blank no text or picture

i work on a mac so no luch getting it to sync using isync
(not able to take pictures off phone)

I returned phone with issues and asked why i was unable to e-mail pics to hotmail. They responded (after more than 40 minutes) by telling me that my phone was defective.

Phone said charge complete on it even though it was nolonger charging

As i had not talked more than 5 minutes and had had the phone less than 24 hrs i was able to return phone for full refund

Also they were no table to tell me whether a wired headset would work with it

Can it be fully activated, with web (when metro offers it). or will it be kicked back? some one please let me know. Metro's lack of offering a PDA or smart phone is driving me nuts. 👿

I have the nokia 2116i and i was wondering if i could take it to metro and trade it in for the upgraded model

What's goin on people, I'm thinking of getting another phone with MetroPCS (the v266 is not what I wanted, it doesn't do anything for the price 😡 )..

Anyway, I was wondering what restrictions MetroPCS had on the Nokia 6255i. Did they hinder any of the features? How well does BT work with it? Is the MMC Slot available? Can you upload your own MP3s onto the phone?

These features that I want are gonna be the dealbreaker as to which phone I switch to. I don't want the RAZR, since so many people have it, plus there is no expandable memory. Anyway, thanks for any help.. 🙂

the phone is for sale for the metropcs network went to my local metro store it is $300 i called tech support thay also said the phone in now available 🙂

Word around town is that MetroPCS will be releasing WAP Browser on all the MetroPCS phones. If you have anymore information on when they will release it or if they even are then post.

Since M-PCS is new in certain areas only, I can't join many phone groups or receive selected alerts. Are there any compatible carriers that can be used in place of MetroPCS to receive these alerts? They are usually listed in drop-down selections.

any new information on when orlando will have metro???

🙂 Wassup? Just wanted to know if anyone out there has the new Motorola Razr v3c and if they knew what accessories, software, or cables I have to buy to customize it (i.e. custom ringtones, wallpapers, etc.)

Well when I first seen the Metrop PCS store down the street from my house I went in intrested in learning about the new service. This was my 1st time hearing of Metro PCS. So anyway, the man showed me all the phones and the best one they had was the Nokia 6235i. Now this phone was cool but I really perfer flip phones. So anyway, later that day I go online and look at the phones. On the site they were showing the 6255i. I loved what I read about this phone. So anyway my plan was to buy this phone.. whether I would have to go to another store or order online. So now when Im almost ready to buy it, I go back online and the phone is no longe there!! So now i want to know if the phone is simply not available in my area or what. Someone please ...

Yesterday morning I called MetroPCS customer service and added "Travel Talk" to the account. Used it this evening here in Houston with an incoming call. I had to press "1" before connecting and to acknowlege the $0.49/minute roaming rate.

Quite pleased. If I get anywhere close to Dallas/Fort Worth area tomorrow or Friday I'll try the new MetroPCS market there.
