Hear this!

This is for all who use their phones in public and love to speak LOUD during conversation.
What I love is when someone gives their number out loud to either person on the other end of the phone or yells it across the room. So what do I do. I call fron another phone that can't be traced, and tell them I will keep calling them (no cost to me) to teach them a lesson not to speak so loud next time! Yes, this may be immature, childish, rude and mean. But if you think you are so "cool" to be obnoxiously loud, you get what you deserve, a prank call.
Now I am sure you probably wouldn't be happy to hear this, so tell all your buddies to keep their voices down! Or you could be the next idiot I call.
If I want to hear your conversation or...

Any new phones coming?

Does anyone know if Virgin will be releasing any new phones? The website has reduced the number of phones available to 5 (previously it has been 7 or more). The "Snapper" and "Slider" appear to be the newest models, but any hint on new models for 2nd Quarter?

does anyone know how to make a call divert, that doesn't divert a call to another voicemail number, but diverts a call to another number, so that the phone rings?

VirginMobile Inner Circle Plan Bug?

VirginMobile is offering a new plan called Inner Circle where you can get unlimited nights and weekends for 70 cents a day to 3 of your closest friends - all other calls are at 10 cents p/minute.

However, the other day I noticed that when my account reached a balance where it could not charge the daily 70 cents (like 45 cents) something wierd happened...While it may not allow me to make calls to anyone outside of my Inner Circle phone numbers, I have been able to make unlimited calls to my Inner Circle friends without VirginMobile charging me. This has been going on for weeks. Essentially it's like having a hotline phone to 3 of my closest friends.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Chances for Motorola Knockoff to Appear

I'm just wondering since we paygoists are kind of left out of the loop as far as our phone choices go (not that there's anything wrong with Kyocera and Audiovox), what are the chances that one of these companies will provide for us a high-end phone if we're willing to pay for one.

I know they have to keep things cheap since the main market is teenagers and because the phones don't carry the usual subsidy (?) but it would be nice to see a bluetooth model that one could use a wireless headset with. Being an adult, I couldn't care less about MTV or even a camera.

NEW RATES

What do you think of Virgins new plans? I think they are great. Unlimited nighs and weekends to three different numbers for 21 bucks a month! It's perfect for lots of people who mainly talk to their girlfriend, parents etc. Plus, you can change your three designated numbers twice during the month for free. Plus, the month to month plan has unlimited n&w now. I've gotta get the new slider too.

Ringtone Question

Hello,

I was hoping to find an answer to a question I had. I was wondering if there was any way to make your own song that you had a ringtone. I have a midi version of my schools fight song and if i send it to my phone as an attachment it can only go to the "My Sounds" Folder.

Anyway to get it as a ringtone?

EXPENSIVE!!!!

IM SORRY BUT THIS SERVICE IS JUST A RIP OFF! YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF JUST TO GET A REGULAR PLAN AND YOU WOULD SAVE LIKE YOU WOULDNT BELEIVE!!! THIS COMPANY IS PRETTY MUCH ONLY GOOD FOR PEOPLE WHO JUST WANT LIKE AN EMERGENCY PHONE! EVEN THEN YOU STILL HAVE TO RELOAD IT EVERY 90 DAYS EVEN IF YOU DONT NEED TO! SO TWO WORDS FOR THIS COMPANY "RIP OFF"!!! WHO AGREES?

Hate to say it, but that thread has been going on forever.

I've seen wars that haven't lasted as long as that thread. Every day it's the top thread with the newest posts. So here's a new one.

Do they make white phones for virgin mobile?

Do you have to do anything special to get them (like never had phone service before)?

Any substantial phone upgrades from the CDM-8500

I've had this phone for a few years now and it's just barely acceptable. Call clarity is substantially worse then my friends Motorola on T-Mobile. I miss calls due to the weak ringer and weak vibrate mode. I like it's size but I swear I will never manually enter addresses into a phone again. I do wish Virgin had a bit more selection of handsets.

Has anyone out there upgraded their 8500 to an 8912 or similar ? Did you see a huge improvement (I'm hoping so).

Can I use an unlocked CDMA phone with Virgin Mobile ?

I have Virgin Mobile now and use an Audiovox-8500 phone. The phone is nice and small but it just borderline functional. I borrowed a friends Motorola (V550) and was shocked at how much better it sounded. It was like talking on a land line. I'm not sure how much of that is my phone and how much is the Spring Network.

I'd love to buy a highly rated CDMA phone and use it on Virgin Mobile. Their reps tell me it can't be done. Is this true ? Can't I just take my sim card equivalent (not sure what is used in CDMA) and put it into a different phone ?

Otherwise, are any of the other Virgin Mobile phone's far better then the 8500 for sound quality ? I don't have much faith in upgrading unless I was pretty confident the new model would be MUCH b...
