New phones

I glanced at a Virgin Mobile brochure in Target the other day, and under the VirginXL features it listed 2 phones that hadn't yet been released--the Snapper and the Slider Sonic. I saw the specs for the Snapper on the website (thank you web access!), but the Slider Sonic is still MIA. I've got the Slider V5 now, and I dig it for what it's worth, but if the new one has the phone and web features, this one is going out the window. Any new word on these two?

On an unrelated matter, why do Virgin UK and Australia have such better phones and features than we do?

Day2Day Plan Question

I just switched to the Day2Day Plan which charges a daily access fee of 0.35 a day, but then you get to talk for 0.10 a minute, and I was just wondering if there was any way to get around paying the 0.35 if I don't want to use my phone. Thanks 🙂

AIM and virgin mobile?

I just bought a Vox 8610. I'm wondering if there's anyway to get my Aim messages forwarded to my phone or did VM shut it all down. I've tried: IMforwards.com, normal aim mobile feature.

Virgin in Canada

Virgin just came to eastren Canada and is offering the following rates...

0.05 cents a minute on all calls, but the "first few " minutes are at a rate of 25 cents a min at the start of each new day.

My question is hew do they rate these first "few" minutes? Its only says few in the ad,not a certin number of minutes(conveniently)

they should lower the rates!

i have been with virgin for about 6 months now. I barely talk on the cell phone but they should make it where you can pay $10/month and have $0.10c a minute for a month or something.

$0.25 is too much!

Virgin Mobile USA should offer Minute Bundles like they do in the UK

Seriously, what is up with that? VM UK offers like 100 and 200 minute per month bundles at a discount, VM USA doesn't.

What, do they think teenagers actually like paying more? ☚ī¸

Prepaid on Sprint CDMA network is horribly expensive

I'm trying to find an affordable prepaid provider that uses Sprint's CDMA network. The only ones I can find are Virgin and Liberty Wireless/Inphonic. I'm shocked how expensive Virgin mobile is. 25 cents for each minute for the first 10 minutes a day, then 10 cents per minute afterward? For light users this is horribly expensive. The Liberty Wireless/Inphonic is a little cheaper but requires a regular monthly fee.

What I want is true pay-as-you-go wireless on Sprint's CDMA network. Anyone?

Is there a solution with Virgin Mobile for connecting a laptop to the interet using the phone as a modem?

Any new phones coming up for Virgin?

I was just wondering if anyone knew if Virgin was going to come out with any new phones soon. I know they came out with the Flasher V7 at the end of last year, but I'm talking about even newer stuff. If anyone knows anything, I'd really appreciate it if you shared! Thanks! 🙂
